Has anyone else moved on from Louisville? I have.

The narrative is already being spun. We haven’t left the state of Florida. UF is a bad team but started playing better. FSU was trash and their win over Bama was an abberation. Our win over ND would be a loss if the game was played today. There is no way they put an ACc team in that doesn’t make it to the ACCCG.
I don't really care what the narrative is now. If we win out we aren't getting left out it's that simple. LSU just lost and there will be more to come. There are no dominant teams right now outside of maybe OSU. More will fall.

Some of y’all are upset because you haven’t or can’t adjust to the fact that power college football has a playoff that’s only getting bigger. One loss especially to a good conference foe isn’t a season ender. Some of you are worried about scenarios that may not come to fruition. Just pull for our team and coaches. Pull for their improvement.

We have some areas of improvement but more than anything we beat ourselves with turnovers. Defense played well enough to win. Beck doesn’t normally throw 4 INTs. I’m still high on this team and expect them to regroup and make the playoffs. Louisville is in the rear view mirror. What areas will you look at specifically to see if we improve?
We have 3 losses to unranked teams while being in the top 6 rankings under Caveman. I expect another

What exactly about Beck’s play over the last two years makes you think he won’t have another trash game? Last 3 games, 7 TDs 7 ints…. What exactly about this offense makes you think other teams won’t follow the same formula FSU started using and Louisville succeeded at. I can admire your optimism, but if nothing changes in terms of play calling, penalties, and Beck’s gameplay…. Miami is losing at least one more game, and be in the same boat as last year.

Year 4 is playoffs or bust. Plain and simple, you don’t get and spend millions on coaching staff and players and end up having the same results as a NC state…

The preseason polls on this very site had us going 8-4 or 9-3. If there was a loss on the schedule after going 5-0 this was it. Brohm is a certified a-hole but he always wants to mess us up and I knew he would throw the kitchen sink at us. He unloaded his clip and we actually weathered it well defensively overall you just can't add a 4 INT performance on top of it. No reason we can't win out.

Fran Brown's clip is substantially bigger. SMU will run points as well. If we don't get a change in scoring philosophy quick....we may be staring at 2+ Ls.

The worst part....it's literally THAT ******* SIMPLE...stop playing with our food and we win. Instead, we want to keep trying to push the line to send a message. Use the pass to set up the run...this ain't the 90s.

At least TVD had the excuse of being relatively inexperienced. I don’t see how UM will accomplish anything when an average defense gives Beck happy feet and the OL can’t run block to take pressure of the shaky $4 million QB. And the OL being bootyjuice wasn’t a new thing- it has been committing stupid penalties nonstop since Cristobal got here. Miami was frequently getting backed up last year due to OL penalties, but it made almost no difference to Ward whether it was 3rd and 4 or 3rd and 14. Through his own athleticism he would buy enough time for a WR to get open. Beck can’t do that. Getting off schedule due to penalties essentially ends drives.

And OL is what Cristobal is supposed to do well.

He may need to divorce himself from the little friend he hides in his pocket, Mirabal. There is no excuse for having talented OLs committing so many penalties each year. Maybe it’s not Mirabals fault and it’s Cristobal’s. Doesn’t matter. If that is case, then he needs to throw his friend under the bus.

If I was a major donor I’d tell Cristobal, “Your background is OL. Yet every season your OL are penalty magnets. Last year Miami was 125th out of 130 teams in penalties. Something or someone needs to change because I’m not giving you any more money to get top players just to see them shooting themselves in the foot year after year. Your coaching isn’t good enough for penalties to not be a problem.”
That was the number 12 rated Defense in total d. Definitely not an average d.

Is Mirabal Mario's version of D'Onofrio for Golden? He has had him at all his major stops.

Fran Brown who has no QB now?

I don’t expect this coaching staff to change a GD thing and neither should anyone else. It’s clear to me that no amount of stagnation or regression will ever be enough to change the way we operate. My only hope is that MC can somehow accumulate 2001- level talent and that that will be enough to offset his static, antiquated way of thinking

It’s frustrating because we have 3x the talent of Louisville. We couldn’t have played worse than we did last night. It was a compete **** show. A bye week is pointless for us except for injured players healing and rest. Mario and Dawson have no scheme. They can’t scheme anybody. I don’t know what they work on besides working harder. They don’t show up last night.

Were we dreading going up aginst Miller Moss? As a matter of fact...he didn't even carve us up.
They didn’t really do anything that made me think they were a good team. We 100% beat ourselves. Not to sound like castellanos but they didn’t beat us. We beat ourselves. And penalties continues to be a bad problem.

ESPN halftime guy on the Duke broadcast said even if Miami wins out they’re not getting in unless they win the ACC. People have no idea how this is going to work out. SEC and Big will begin the annual lockdown of the top 10. Miami will drop to about 12. Even if we win out we won’t re-enter the top 10. We’ll have at least 1 SEC team (LSU) ranked ahead of us with 2 losses tomorrow.

You’ll see 4-5 SEC teams
3 - 4 Big teams
ACC champ
G5
Big 12 winner
Notre Dame if they win out.
11-1 Miami with a win over ND isn't getting left out for ND.

I know it's doom and gloom time around here, but these SEC teams still have another 1-3 losses on their schedule. If Miami runs the table they will be in.

Moved on from what? I’ll move on when I see some creativity from our offense. Particularly the horrific attempts at bully ball from the 1950’s run scheme.
