Has anyone else moved on from Louisville? I have.

Watch for this dynamic to play out during next week's polls/FPI/SOR...

UVA beat Louie beat Miami
Next week we will drop out of the picture I have no doubt. But if we win out we're in. If SMU got in last year as an 11-2 ACC title game loser, Miami would too in that scenario with far more impressive wins.

Vast majority..vast..was 10-2 or better.
Only 9% of us said 8-4....
Most have no idea what they are watching...just fansite propaganda...
Where is that poll anyway. I could of swore 9-3 was the number 1 answer and even if it was 10-2 here is 1.

Friend...as soon as SMU got crushed last year in playoff, the committee starting messaging "never again"...and "they" have said it and codified it in the "guidelines" ever since.

We have some areas of improvement but more than anything we beat ourselves with turnovers. Defense played well enough to win. Beck doesn’t normally throw 4 INTs. I’m still high on this team and expect them to regroup and make the playoffs. Louisville is in the rear view mirror. What areas will you look at specifically to see if we improve?
Beck is getting trashed & rightfully so, but 2 or 3 of those INTs were extremely athletic plays & catches. The last one in particularly was a catch that more often than not isn’t made. Moss put the ball in harms way and few times & our secondary didn’t make the plays.

I'll make a ban bet with you. If Miami wins out in the regular season and doesn't get in the playoff I'll leave this site forever.
I don't want you to depart these lands friend.

How else will I get me sense of superiority for my fragile small ego of always being right by being alone? 🤣

Let's do this.

IF Miami wins out regular season and DOES make playoff, I donate $100 to charity of YOUR choice

IF Miami wins out regular season and DOESN'T make playoff, I donate $200 to Veterans charity of MY choice

Their strategy on offense is going to be getting the ball out of his hands fast because A) that's what they normally do and B) it'll attempt to limit the DL effectiveness. When Moss gets in trouble is when he needs more time. Every game I've watched it seems he has no time to throw on deep routes.

What seems to be effective against them is to bring pressure. You don't need to send multiple guys but continue to send pressure from different areas. It has messed up his timing. Then drop those guys back every now and then into the passing lanes. I think you can get Moss to throw some INTs. They want to get rid of the ball so fast that I don't think he's doing a lot of progressions. It's a one read offense mostly.

I wrote that 4 days ago after watching them play two games. I spent a total of 40 minutes dedicating my time to understanding this team. I'm an idiot when it comes to football strategy. I understand the game is more complex than just knowing what they're going to do but the guys who are making MILLIONS to do this for a living should be able to scheme and effectively defend something that is so obvious even the most basic follower of football can see it. They have two weeks to prepare a defense for, "they're going to try and get the ball out fast", and they looked like they had no f***ing idea. This wasn't a game where Louisville came out with an entirely new scheme we couldn't have prepared for.

And don't even get me started on the run game. We're going to be ranked in the 100's in yards per play when the stats update this week. This run scheme is absolutely trash. For the 4 years Mario has been here there has been absolutely no threat of a long run. THAT IS INSANE. We are 6 games into the season and our longest run with the three backs is 22 yards. Does that sound familiar?

Last year we said this team has no shot to go anywhere if they don't fix the defense. This year we're saying they won't go anywhere if they can't fix the offense. They were never going to fix the defense last year and the flaws of this offense are its identity, or so the head coach tells us. Beck can't be Cam and Cam masked a lot of issues with Mario's scheme. This team, in its current state, will go 10-2 or 9-3. That's not a mope prediction, that's just reality. They CAN fix this. It's not talent, it's coaching. But they won't.

SMU played in the ACCG. If Miami doesn't make that game they will not be in the playoffs.

I think the loser isn't a guarantee this year either.

This freaking playing once in 3 weeks was a momentum killer and getting caught up in all the hype with too much to prove still.

I see why the play book was scaled back because they don't completely trust Beck.

Cards got in his head and then you could tell he was in his own head afterwards. Guy is bi polar with his play, looks brilliant one moment and then plays scared the next.
He was too scared to commit to a WR then got happy feet and tried to run when it wasn't there. It wasn't ALL on him but he was definitely the weak link.

At least TVD had the excuse of being relatively inexperienced. I don’t see how UM will accomplish anything when an average defense gives Beck happy feet and the OL can’t run block to take pressure of the shaky $4 million QB. And the OL being bootyjuice wasn’t a new thing- it has been committing stupid penalties nonstop since Cristobal got here. Miami was frequently getting backed up last year due to OL penalties, but it made almost no difference to Ward whether it was 3rd and 4 or 3rd and 14. Through his own athleticism he would buy enough time for a WR to get open. Beck can’t do that. Getting off schedule due to penalties essentially ends drives.

And OL is what Cristobal is supposed to do well.

He may need to divorce himself from the little friend he hides in his pocket, Mirabal. There is no excuse for having talented OLs committing so many penalties each year. Maybe it’s not Mirabals fault and it’s Cristobal’s. Doesn’t matter. If that is case, then he needs to throw his friend under the bus.

If I was a major donor I’d tell Cristobal, “Your background is OL. Yet every season your OL are penalty magnets. Last year Miami was 125th out of 130 teams in penalties. Something or someone needs to change because I’m not giving you any more money to get top players just to see them shooting themselves in the foot year after year. Your coaching isn’t good enough for penalties to not be a problem.”

ESPN halftime guy on the Duke broadcast said even if Miami wins out they’re not getting in unless they win the ACC. People have no idea how this is going to work out. SEC and Big will begin the annual lockdown of the top 10. Miami will drop to about 12. Even if we win out we won’t re-enter the top 10. We’ll have at least 1 SEC team (LSU) ranked ahead of us with 2 losses tomorrow.

You’ll see 4-5 SEC teams
3 - 4 Big teams
ACC champ
G5
Big 12 winner
Notre Dame if they win out.
