Has a coach ever deserved to be fired more than J Patke?

Linebacker play is atrocious. Linebacker recruiting is atrocious.

He was blessed with Lou and Jose (now andres) but think about Miami special teams under patke:

1- we have not been able to identify a player that can consistently catch a punt. Don’t care about returns, just catch a punt.

2- every single punt return this year has had a minimum of one but often 2 flags for holding or blocks in the back, often times on punts that were not even returned.

3-Fgs blocked more often than average

4- giving up ko returns for TDs

5-roughing punters and kickers last to games gave them a redo on a missed fG they converted and turned a fG into a TD.

We have had elite specialists and yet somehow Patke had made special teams a negative for the program. I have vague memories of future nfl guys playing special teams and making it a strength…,

Patke is bad no doubt....but can we throw Garin Justice in there as well?

Patke is the Paul Williams of the current staff. His players continuously are out of position, there is little to no development, and you rarely if ever hear a recruit say I'm here because of him.

I forgot to add that we routinely give up fake punts that result in big critical first downs.

If not for a lucky chinstrap coming loose, that George muff would have cost us the game. Why do we consistently have guys trying to field punts under duress near our own goal-line???! What is the benefit?
