Harvard Yale game

I disagree - living paycheck to paycheck (as the vast majority of Americans do) is how they control you. Do you think it's an accident that 0.1% of the population controls 80% of the wealth? Today, a majority of Americans are one unexpected bill/accident away from living on the street.
Then why do most vote for the SOS?

thanks in a very large part to an oversaturation of the service industry, a general unwillingness to work trades, a refusal to live outside of major metropolitan areas, and financial illiteracy. there are plenty of jobs available and money to be made.

If anyone votes for Trump or any other candidate just because people are exercising their constitutionally protected right to protest then they are morons.
I didn't know it was there right to flood a football field and delay a game is a right? Come on guy, nobody wants to take away the right to protest just don't do it at others expense. The guys on the other side have rights too they paid to see a game not a protest.

Truth, and the liberal solution is to throw more money at a problem, not sit down and figure out what the problem really is.
Seems to me the liberal States are doing just fine in education versus the conservatives ones (who cant even keep their schools open 5 days a week in some cases). Liberal *** Mass number 1. Conservative *** Bama 50. Look at the whole list. Its pretty evenly distributed to be fair, but that bottom 10 are almost all conservative states.

I've worked in education btw. In charter schools. They ain't the answer and are a backdoor to segregation.

The most segregated school district in America isnt in the former South. It's in New York City, and it's largely bc of charter schools.

The education problem has nothing to do with public versus private versus charter or liberal or conservative or vouchers.

It's much deeper than that, and in fact, probably wont be solved anytime soon.

As someone who has also worked in a Charter School - I endorse this 100%.

But they can afford 200 dollar phone bills, high speed internet, big cable bills, nail salons, hair salons, new cars, a bunch of kids ect. At some point people gotta use a little common sense. A while back my wife worked in an doctors office with about 50 people in the same boat as you wrote about. Also went out to lunch ever day and spent 10 bucks, my wife brought a lunch. They were all one pay check away from being broke, that is not the rich's fault it's their fault. They choose to blow all of their pay check on ****. Even the doctors would say I must be paying you girls too much. lol

So the good "Reverend" King has a dream, huh? This commie drunk makes me sick. Why you dont you protest and march against your own people killing each other instead of blaming everything on the white man? He and Malcolm Little are communists cut from the same cloth. Just look at these two liberal socialists crooks. Probably laughing at the death of our civil liberties.

Are those J Edgar’s words?

Can everyone just chill out on this topic. Frankly a student protest during halftime of Harvard v Yale is nothing to get this politically worked up.

Act like adults on here and quit acting like that protest impacted your life even one iota. It’s as though some of you come on the site just looking for something insignificant to vent about. Grow up.

I am not in the 1% but its called being fiscally responsible. I live in the 2nd or 3rd most expensive place in the county to reside and I don't spend outside of my means and have enough in my savings that I can survive comfortably with a few unexpected bills.

Oh and I am a millennial.

so a bunch of children disrupting a football game is okay but posting on a message board is going to far? Got it. I had to deal with this bs when visiting London and couldn't take the train.

Even funnier is that they may not get this game completed before sunset in a stadium with no lights and Harvard is behind currently needing to win to stay at top of Ivy League...good job granola eating birkenstock wearing students.
The *sshole student protestors don’t give a **** about football - much less their own team. Same with so many of the PAC12 schools.

The bulk of the middle class has always lived like that. People had to work two and three times as hard to earn a living. Our economy has changed from one that required physical labor to one where most people are glorified paper pushers. For the first time in human history, hunger isn't the biggest threat to humans, obesity is. One billion people have been lifted out of absolute poverty in the last 30 years. That's real progress for humanity. That's a result of global capitalism.
I presume that what you mean by one accident or unexpected bill from being on the street as you say is the rising cost of healthcare. Hospitals used to be nonprofits and are for profits now a days. Doesn't mean the world is worse. Some tweaking will suffice.
