Hartley getting a little defensive on Twitter

You asked a question and I answered it. Yes special teams sucks but don’t act like they haven’t blocked a punt in 10 years.

I asked a question because our ST’s suck so fcking bad I can’t even remember the blocked punt. I can’t even remember any highlights from our ST’s including the berrios’s 2 TD’s. The absolute putrid play by our ST’s covers up any highlights.

Can’t argue that. When was the last good year Miami had on special teams? Shannon era?

Some how don't think the assistants at Bama are spending their time on Twitter responding to fans during the season

He stated facts in response to yet another of the endless false narratives courtesy of a mob member. I hope more coaches will speak out and refute the nonsense (lies and half-truths) that mob members post on a daily basis hoping to destroy the program.

The constant lies, half-truths and ridiculous rumors are significantly damaging this year's recruiting cycle. What is happening is an excellent example of self-fulfilling prophecies born out of ego and bad intentions. The mob lives to say...I told you so! No one who is being honest can deny that fact.

Is this a self reflective post on your existence? It's very ironic that you would accuse anyone of trying to be the 1st to say I told you so given that you started an entire thread to point out that we are now bowl eligible, as if that is some kind of major victory.

This year's recruiting cycle is ****ed because our coaches ****ed it up. They get paid well to coach a bunch of children playing a children's game. Guy needs to toughen up.

Hartley takes a lot of heat for STs but he's just the coordinator. The actual teaching and strategizing is shared among all staff.

The coordinator runs the unit. That's why Hartley gets a majority of the blame for poor special teams. That's why D'Onofrio caught a lot of heat when the defense played like crap constantly, because he was the coordinator.

Yeah right! If the Canes didn't qualify for a bowl game, you and your ilk would have been ripping Mark Richt and an assortment of others to pieces. You're just ****ed-off that those coaches and kids proved how little you know about football, most especially Canes football. But, as I said earlier, you and your kind have the opportunity to root for Pittsburgh this coming weekend.

I said it last season and restated the following before this season kicked-off...Miami's offensive line would be the key to this season. Unfortunately, a head college football coach can't just snap his fingers and 5 huge, athletic, mean offensive linemen appear. Hopefully, during this off-season, the necessary upgrades will be made.

Does Washington State have 5 huge, athletic offensive linemen? West Virginia? Utah State? UCF? Kentucky? Iowa State?

Those schools would all **** kick us and our Top 5 defense.

More importantly, does Duke? Virginia?

Those wannabes pulled our pants down in front of the whole country.

This is all on coaches being too stubborn to adjust and too defensive to recognize their shortcomings. The same **** we fired for Golden for.

I have no idea how those analogies apply to the Canes. When the offensive line is fixed people will be hailing Mark Richt as an offensive genius and the Canes win-loss record will have them in the college football playoffs.

For perspective on how bad the Miami punters are...

At STA v Dwyer game...both punters would be immediate upgrades over the supposed D1 caliber kickers Miami has on the roster today.
