Harley being a relentless worker and good route runner as a true Frosh only helps the development of Thomas. From all accounts he's going to play as well but Harley seems to be a step ahead on the learning curve. These two will push each other for greatness.

Well considering Thomas was behind due to that hamstring injury for a good portion of camp he has still shown a lot in camp

• Mike Harley and Jeff Thomas are poised to play a lot, and UM is expecting big things from the speedy freshmen receivers. And I mean big things.

The speed of those two freshmen is going to make an enormous difference, UM people predict privately and players say publicly.

Both have shown an ability not only to make catches on fly patterns but catch short passes and make defenders miss for long gains. One UM person called them exhilarating in their yards after catch ability. Look for UM to play them together at times.

FWIW: Richt said he's starting the opener....that's it, nothing about being a permanent starter. Still impressive for a kid got there like a month and a half ago.
