Harbaugh LOL

Harbaugh is unfortunately VERY good at what he does.

He was as a Central Florida High School end of the year banquet last night as the "guest speaker".

And who would have thought.... the High School has an un-committed 4* WR he's targeting.

Sad state of the game. But this is how it works now. Slimey coaches.

What's would be slimy is waiting until signing day to tell him they don't have a spot. He probably knew this was the case for a while, but hoped for the best. Either way, it happens quite a lot and it's no fun being in this young man's position, but at least he has other options.

Yup spot on. So much fairer to tell him 1 week before signing day.

I think Harbaugh actually handled this more up front than most coaches. He basically told the kid he's Plan B, as opposed to playing games and treating him in a way that makes him Plan B anyway. I wonder if we had been straight up with a guy like Skai Moore if he would have at least considered us at the end. Maybe not because recruits tend to have egos, but when we sent him the "last second offer," it was a clear "**** off" from him.

Harbaugh's a huge f'in problem from other bigtime schools or those trying to get back to the bigtime.

I think it's deplorable, personally. I would hope that a coach would honor a commitment they accepted as long as the kid does his part (grades, stays out of trouble etc.).

You're not required to accept the commitment, but once you do, you should stick with it in my mind. This isn't the case in a coaching change, unless you reaffirm the offer and acceptance.

Pipe dream, of course, but that's what I believe.

I think they jumped the gun on his offer to begin with. Harbaugh was in his "recruit everybody in South FLA" mode and was handing out offers like crazy. Weaver got his after a camp, before any film was watched I believe.
