Don’t touch the lids, bro. Lol

Man, love me some Ted Hendricks. Wish I would’ve been born to see how he rep the school, but my old school client has enough pictures, stories, bar tabs, & other memorabilia to put me on the scene w/ him. Went from ball boy to season ticket holder of the Raiders & forged a friendship w/ Ted.

Salute to the Mad Stork.

The MAD STORK is six months older than me and we were students at the same time. I had one class with him when I was there and never missed a home game in the true Orange Bowl. What memories…..
Hope you didn’t have to sit behind him in class…

The GOAT. With all due respect to ed reed, ST-26, the Playmaker, Ray Lewis, Jim Kelly, etc etc … it’s The Stork first, then everyone else fighting for second place.

1966, 1st week on campus at the University of Miami. Sitting on a bench with a former high school teammate who was then a freshman lineman at UM. (Hendricks was a sophomore). I asked my friend “so, how good is Ted Hendricks?” His response: “Well, I’ve gone up against him in two-a-day practices, every day for two weeks….. I haven’t blocked him yet.”

Back in the day there used to be a gym off LeJune road called the Olympic health studio. I trained there for years and a lot of notable dolphins etc would also come in. I used to talk to Mike Barnes if any of you remember him. Great DE who played for the colts. He told me of an on campus party and there he introduced me to the mad stork. Hendricks had already graduated. He was intimidating. Ah those were the days.
