You seem to support the coaches not the kids.

Seems means your assuming. I don't trust this administration to hire another coach because they will either make Cooley the next coach or any dude who has experience and has good interview skills. And I think all a head coach needs to do to win at Miami is recruit hard and get decent coordinators. Al recruits hard and his coordinators are likely the worst combo Miami has ever had. I personally would hire a football mind to evaluate and hire new decent paid coordinators and if Al doesn't like let him go. I would also look at the team as an investment and i would find away to get a stadium close to campus.

Great recruiter who ran the most vanilla offense and defense the u has ever seen. People hated his X and Os but now somehow is the greatest coach we have ever had. No he was the best recruiter. Saban also says he is not the best coach but he is the best recruiter and all you need to recruit in Miami is a gas card.

Butch wasn't even a great "recruiter". He is an elite "talent evaluator". Big difference. Butch assembled the greatest college football team of all time (and proved it wasn't a fluke at UNC).......but lets not pretend it was all roses and sunshine. He was a borderline bad gameday coach as well.

I would be happy with a Butch hire but for those claiming he would just come in and clean house right away are delusional. He isn't an inovator by any stretch. Would he bring in and develop the talent? No question. Would he make you want to string him up and quarter him about half a dozen times a season. No question.

I can't help but smile. We can see a little light at the end of the tunnel. It really is the beginning of the end. Last night, was a historic night for Canes Football. It will be the game that started the inevitable change for this program.

My thoughts exactly. Not the slightest bit upset about the loss. One step back for two steps forward.

The BOT members better get over their f'n egos and hire the only coach that can bring us back from the dead, just as he did after we had real sanctions.

was at that game last night... tailgate was awesome. didnt watch much of the actual game, but wandered around the stadium for a bit & found some student dining hall area and helped myself. best part of those 3+ hours.

but, more importantly(and i apologize if you've already addressed this elsewhere), what's your list look like for potential HC's? I know you dropped the memphis coach's name a few months back, and after looking into his history and watching his team a lil this year, im a fan.
