Guys we should target for the last LB spot.

Time for the classic Miami shuffle, where we start offering kids we've never talked to before, get one or two of them on campus for an OV, and then make just enough headway to be the hat on the floor when they pick Nebraska or Minnesota or Tennessee or Airzona ******* State.

But hey look, Manny has only had four ******* years with this linebacker room, he'll get it turned around if we give him time. Did you know his dad was the mayor? He worked at ESPN!

McCloud
Brooks
Joyner
Jennings
Steed
Huff
Flagg
Cave

I would take another LB if Greene or Flowe wanted in, but we don’t have to take another or reach for a LB.

We need another WR, CB, and multiple OL more.
Steed and Jennings have been nothing. Granted they have been injured but what’s stopping them from getting injured again?

Avery huff going to make some noise next year regardless 🤷🏾‍♂️

Not the point. Guys needs backups, teams need depth. It prevents the need to play the Ryan Ragone's of the world and helps players improved with more competition in practice.

What did we do to deserve this misery the past 15 years? Sure, I can take 5-6 years until the train gets back on the tracks but my god this has to be the most embarrassing, pathetic program in college football history considering our history of success. We literally dropped off in a blink of an eye and have never been able to recover.

I've fought against it tooth & nail, but I have no choice now...

Amari Carter probably needs to move to LB/Striker in the Spring.

Go with Hall, Bolden (when healthy), K Smith, Harrell & Balom for the Safeties.

Yes I know Harrell is supposedly a Striker, but I think he'll play Safety here & imo Washington should be the Striker.

Also if a solid Grad Transfer LB pops up in the portal in these next coming months we gotta get him.

This is the misconception. MIA has been playing CFB since 1926, and with the exception of 20 yrs, the program has been nothing short of an abject failure for the majority of its existence. This is who we are. Why can't delusional fans finally accept that? Is it because this POS fanbase is mostly comprised of fair weather fans?

History of success as in our history between 1980-2002. We were a dynasty and then in a blink of an eye it disappeared.

I wouldn't give up on Joyner, maybe I'm wrong, I like the kid and have since we recruited him.

It's because that was an aberration, and not the norm. It was truly one of those one in a million type deals, where this university managed to catch lightning in a bottle. The way that CFB is presently constructed, it is virtually impossible for a small private university with significant budget constraints to compete for & win championships.

Amari should’ve been a LBer period. He has always had the frame for it and he’s instinctual. We talk about being faster than everybody but won’t move a perfect Weak back prospect to weak side. Is it too much to ask for competency?

3 am at the truck stop bar and lounge.
Slim pickings.
Hoping to find someone with all her teeth and that hasn’t vomited on herself and is under 250.
It’s like parking spaces. The good ones are taking and the ones that are left are all handicapped.

**** lot lizards, ewwwwah

You pretty much got it. Honestly....imma say if yall remember when Baker made the statement about a lb that wasnt making plays, etc it was around the spring time...its my opinion he was speaking on Hyppolite. Im thinking they werent that high on him in their evals.

Then likely saw the mid year tape and was more impressed then offered expecting a decommit right away and he didnt so they pushed on.

Im thinking they think they are/were in a good spot with Flowe..then the Greene kid came available with fsu clusterf*ck and they thought that would be easy pull as well (dont know why they would think that ased off where he is from).

But its nothing i didnt expect...Diaz and his staff evals and recruitment at LB has been bad/confusing since being here.

So your saying there is a still as chance for a late flip? Now that the staff and world knows Manny got left. I mean my God man it's flipping Maryland vs Miami, at least Nebraska has those hostesses with the mostest.

Go CCanes

For those that are saying we are light at linebacker...I mean, we probably are...and our coaches stink, so this means nothing...but I think Keshawn Washington can be a really solid linebacker FWIW. I'm not seeing Striker/Safety like everyone else is. His best film is when he's doing linebacker things. With that said, he'll probably be nothing but a DB here and people will wonder why he doesn't turn out to be an effective player.

Similarly, people saying Harrell to striker? Looks like a true strong safety to me.

When you've got a position like striker on your team...you don't recruit future strikers, you just kind of find them on your roster. Light linebacker, bigger DB you just can't find a place for but can play...stuff like that. But you give guys a shot elsewhere - at a real position - first.

Can a sofla guy that isn't a biased GAYLORD fill me in on Hypolite?

@gogeta4 @Liberty City El

So we apparently slow played this kid to whiff on Greene and Flowe?
That's what it looks like. This is exactly the situation I was concerned about and lo and behold look where we are now. These coaches never learn and now they are left at the alter with their collective ****s in their hands. Welcome to Miami Amateur Hour!

Diaz recruiting is so f*cking bad

Amari takes horrendous angles. He’s a big hitter but not a sure tackler.

I guess the positive would be that when he whiffs on a tackle at LB will have a safety behind him to clean it up.
