Guys we should target for the last LB spot.

Realistically? Andy Garcia - committed to MTSU

Uncommitted guys:
Morven Joseph - probably going to Tennessee and more DE, but he could stand up with his speed.
Jacorrei Turner - GA kid with speed

Grasping at straws here. It's so bad to be left in a situation like this again at LB, CB and OL after what happened in previous years with this staff.

How about an athlete that plays two ways. LB and OL? 🙄
Chuck Bednarik was the first player drafted in the 1949 NFL Draft, by the Philadelphia Eagles, starring on both offense (as a center) and defense (as a linebacker).

3 am at the truck stop bar and lounge.
Slim pickings.
Hoping to find someone with all her teeth and that hasn’t vomited on herself and is under 250.
It’s like parking spaces. The good ones are taking and the ones that are left are all handicapped.

Can a sofla guy that isn't a biased GAYLORD fill me in on Hypolite?

@gogeta4 @Liberty City El

So we apparently slow played this kid to whiff on Greene and Flowe?

You pretty much got it. Honestly....imma say if yall remember when Baker made the statement about a lb that wasnt making plays, etc it was around the spring time...its my opinion he was speaking on Hyppolite. Im thinking they werent that high on him in their evals.

Then likely saw the mid year tape and was more impressed then offered expecting a decommit right away and he didnt so they pushed on.

Im thinking they think they are/were in a good spot with Flowe..then the Greene kid came available with fsu clusterf*ck and they thought that would be easy pull as well (dont know why they would think that ased off where he is from).

But its nothing i didnt expect...Diaz and his staff evals and recruitment at LB has been bad/confusing since being here.

Converted Safety and new to LB. Andy Garcia played more than him at AH. Patrick Surtain the coach sucks hence the mass AH exodus.

Ruben AND Andy lined up alot at DE....not S.

AH had they not run into MNW would be state champs this year. They had a exodus but still have tons of talent there.

Ruben was a safety his freshman and sophomore year. You know that...and Surtain is a str8 corch.

I've like AJ Roberts out of NYC.

Didnt we have a plus size safety we offered out of the treasure coast about a month ago?

Miami has made itself a nice habit - across numerous staffs - to complete misevaluate the LB position.

The problem now, Manny Diaz's defense doesn't emphasize the linebacker position. As is, he basically had Shaq do everything in his scheme and we saw how limited he is...Shaq would play most of the game, too. He doesn't value depth here...probably one of the reasons why special teams stinks, too. I'd love to see a snap breakdown over the past four years of Miami football, but I'd wager Shaq and Pinckney played 85% or more of the linebacker snaps over these past four years. We don't even play three linebackers at this point, so the need for massive depth - in Manny's eyes - is nonexistent. In his mind...moving forward he's got Huff, Brooks, and Cave and if everything banks right, he's set at linebacker for the next four years. I don't think Manny evaluates guys like Hyppolite or Keyshawn Greene very highly because in his scheme, he doesn't see them as guys he can ride into the ground.

Just pontificating on why Manny and this team during the Richt-Diaz Era has really misevaluated guys. How were we always out of it for a guy like Derek Wingo. idk. We did this with Ryan Shazier, Skai Moore, Lavonta David, and others. Its weird.

whats crazy is guys point to it like its a strong point...Oh we only used 2 lbs and have a striker . Well guys we have a grand total of 2 strikers with one being Gilbert Frierson. lol
These numbnuts let Derrick Smith walk...when he should have been positioned for that spot.

I always figured they were talking about Andy Garcia when Baker made that statement.
