GUYS THIS WAS A GREAT SEASON...

what I expected, also think we can get Clemson. They will be beat up after today's game as well. South Carolina at home and trying to avenge a nasty blow out last year. Clemson lost a ton last year. If Malik gives us 50% more than yesterday we are good.

Kudos on this entire thread! We did a lot with less, and a whole lot of lot is coming in over the next couple of seasons. If you were told we would be 10-1 at the beginning of the season and playing in a packed home stadium or even after the first few nail biters you can consider yourself the king of optimists. We are coastal champs and are playing for the ACCC. We're not done yet and look good for the future. Now if we ***** up with all the new blood arriving (including kickers...) then we have a legitimate beef.
CANES FOREVER!

This has been a great year but I do have a couple things I wanna say.

TBH we should of started Perry. I think with Perry we would have been 10-1 or 9-2 but we would of probably lost more earlier in the season. The way we play call for Rosier you would have thought he was a true freshman with how simple and basic we make things for him. We don't allow Rosier to do anything more then what he needs to do (and deservedly so) which is something you typically do when you have a true freshman. With Rosier it 1 MAYBE 2 reads or tuck the ball and run something Perry would have been able to do at this stage of his career IMO.

No this is not a knee-jerk reaction I just think if we're going to simplify the offense for Rosier then why not do it for Perry who is a much talented player?

The defense IMO didn't take the leap I hoped for. They were still great but coming into the season I thought it would be at the level of Wisconsin, Alabama, Michigan, Clemson, Georgia etc. We're not consistent enough for 4 QTRs game after game as a defense to be that great yet. We always have a terrible 1st half only to rebound in the 2nd half. To be a elite unit we have to play elite QTRs 1 through 4 every game.

Said it earlier in the season and my opinion hasn't changed. I question how good our strength program is. 4 stars all across this btc and they get bullied by Pitt, Syracuse, UVa, UNC.. doesn't make sense to me how we continue to make every defense look like Alabama when we try to run the ball. Searles group better improve quick fast or we need to go after a elite OL coach. When you look at the our defense again they get dominated physically in the 1st QTR and is it me or did our players struggle to bring down Pitt RBs and QB? It like every time we hit a Pitt player they would drag a LB or DB for 2 more yards EVERY TIME. I don't think we've gotten stronger at all as a team. IMO we should look for a elite S&C coach. Someone that will get us great noticeable results.

McCloud and Rosier spots need to be an open competition next year. (I will say McCloud played great today.. reacted a lot faster and made tackles. Still, that doesn't make up for the other 9 games of playing like hot garbage.)

On to Clemson.

Lol dude stfu you bandwagon comepinga

I'll be in Charlotte to represent for the 'Canes as we go to our first ACC Championship game. Great year with a chance to make it a championship season.

10-1 compared to 8-4 last year during the regular season is a clear improvement.

The way we finished this year was a clear disappointment, but a 1-loss regular season is better than we've done since 2003.

This will continue to help our recruiting effort which will keep the momentum going.

Hopefully we can regroup and knock off Clemson in a week and get into a solid bowl game (or maybe a shot at the playoff).

NO LIE, EVEN IF WE LOSE TO CLEMSON, I WOULD STILL CONSIDER THIS A GREAT SEASON FOR MIAMI... RICHT HAS PUT THE U BACK ON THE MAP...

PERRY IS ALWAYS AROUND RICHT FOR A REASON...

REAL CANE FANS KNOW THIS WASN'T REALLY OUR YEAR, BUT WE SNEAKED IN AND STILL HAVE A SHOT IF WE BEAT CLEMSON...

IF you told me we beat FSU,VT and ND, win the coastal, and finish with one loss to Pitt...go to the ACC champ game I would have been like **** Yeah.

With that said it stings like a **** losing to a crappy 4-7 team.

This season has been the most fun watching UM Foot Ball in 15 years!!

No lie, that loss to a 4-7 team hurts, but no matter what we still have to beat Clemson to get in....

If I asked the board at the start of the season how happy this board would be if we only lose ONE GAME this season, I bet 100% (expect maybe trolls) would say they would be very happy. Now, posters ready to slit Rosier throat for losing one game. SMH

No, f*ck that. I was preaching that were ahead of schedule-winning w our back up QB talk all season. But we are at the precipice of #6 and the field is WIDE OPEN.

Weve come too far. This team is worthy. Anything less than a championship imo is a disappointment.

I hear you but think for a second. Clemson, the expected #1 next week, was beat by Syracuse.

I agree with all this but if you think perry is penciled in as a starter next season you are wrong. He might end up being it but I sorta think rosier and perry will split time and Richt will go with the hot hand each game .Sorta like Spurrier did when he had 2-3 really good Qbs 2 seperate times. Eventually one of them became the guy ( wuerffell / Rex ) but at first 2-3 guys all got time.

I have no illusions about winning a title as this team has too many flaws to do so . But to be this far ahead of the schedule is amazing. This is the kinda season I expected next season not this . I do think we might beat Clemson due to losing to Pitt ( I think if we had beat Pitt Clemson was a loss ) but Oklahoma would out score us and Auburn would beat us as well. I do think we would beat Bama, OSU and Wisconsin . UGA is a total toss up .

I will continue to maintain as I have since Game 4: there isnt a team in cfb this squad cant beat.

Problem is, there isnt a squad in cfb that cant beat us (as we saw Friday).

First team in over a decade to be in the discussion for a NC when the regular season ended. How could a Cane fan not enjoy

If the Canes go down fighting and lose, so be it. It was a great season and I'll be happy with the progress. But if they play like they did at Pitt , there will be no joy. Remember 58-0. No excuses.

Should we have lost that game? Absolutely not. But it’s unreal the amount of fans jumping over the edge when we are not only are playing in our first ACC championship ever, but also have a play in game to the playoff. We’ve been overachieving all year. Enjoy it. It’s been a long time.
