Gus

Since we don't have a media that asks these types of questions, I doubt we'll know anything until the FSU game, a la Yearby playing today.

Manny said on QAM that it was a sprain and he will be good for fsu. He rode the bike to stretch it out but the coaches decided to shut him down.

If we continue to be a run heavy team we need Gus, these three backs are a great tandem!!

I Just hope they quit trying to feed him the ball in short yardage/goal line situations. Duke is sooo much better at it.

Gus ran well today. I liked how he looked.

On one of his early runs he hit the hole so hard I said DUUUUKE to myself after the play then saw it was #7.

I am really proud of this kids progression...He was definitely gotten better this year...I think I got to credit Ice harris...our RB's are killing it...

Never thought I would say it but we gonna need a healthy gus to beat fsu

No, No we won't. He's a 3rd string RB. Yearby is better than him.
If anything I think we will be better if he didn't play because that would mean Golden couldn't put him in on goal-line situations and get stuffed.
Same goes for Fentress. Carter and Deon are rotating throughout the game, but not ******* Fentress. Fentress plays every dam snap; I just don't understand it.

Gus has one of the most unorthodox running styles in the history of football. He has consciously tried to lower his pad level through the hole this year but he's still very awkward.

It's hard to even compare his style to anyone. I like Yearby in all situations over Gus, even short yardage. But I hope Gus is healthy and back soon.

I disagree. Yearby is Duke's backup for sure - but Gus needs his presence. Even if it is for goaline offense in the backup of Yearby.
