Just cause he was right doesnt mean he was playing with him, anyone can predict we not getting someone thats easy

LOL - being right is the first and most important pre-requisite for being taken seriously.

How many guys have ultimately been wrong, and gotten hundreds of comments and multipage page threads? A bunch. There is one still going right now for a guy that’s dead wrong.

I am by far the biggest skeptic on this board when it comes to fake insiders, but something rang true to me about this particular guy.

He sounded just like the kind of guys that spend a ton of time online gaming...and he fits with my theory that JT4 never even contacted the coaches.

I believe JT4 might have casually mentioned something to a player, in conversation, but it never went much past that.

I just don’t think there were ever any serious discussions. So the guy rings true to me

For two year 3 down and getting off the field without a turnover was almost impossible. Last year was better but maybe that was because the offense sucked so bad the other teams didn’t need to push each possession as hard. Not many turnovers last year either. Are you saying there is no room for an upgrade on defense? If they were all that good, why didn’t any get stolen by promotion to other teams? I am not paid to evaluate position coaches nor skilled to do so, but we still do not have Miami level defense and the existing staff has had it for three years.
Ummm...Manny Diaz got hired as Temple's Head Coach. I understand you hate Manny because he's not Butch Davis but his defense was one of the best in the nation last year. They vastly improved in every area they struggled in 2017. Not sure what you consider a "Miami level defense " but college football isn't the same as it was so years ago. There's a lot more offense. The old days of shutting every other opponent out are long gone. Even Alabama's defense got torched by Clemson. The team that finished #1 in total defense gave up 69 points to Ohio State. Miami's defense wasn't perfect but it was **** good last year. Especially considering the offense often did nothing but leave the defense with bad field position.

Yeah, yeah, I get all that. I don’t hate Manny. He gave us a thrill last year we had not had in over a decade. And he’ll yeah a wanted Butch to get a shot at remaking us again. The Miami level defense I am talking about destroyed what was the high powered offenses of the day, the option. OU and NE were scoring machines before our defense burned them to the ground. Listen to the pregame coverage of that glorious night at the OB. The cornhuskers scored like a basketball team was the phrase. Remember Houston and Klingler? That was much like today’s offenses. We put in sleep hold and dropped the mike.

Defenses are not what they were because we are not what we were. I know the rules changes have made our old intimidation and fear of dismemberment difficult, what I am bothered by is the thought that our defense is good enough. It isn’t. It needs to be able to stop Clemson when the stop is needed, not just once in a while. I want to see if Manny is aware of the need for big improvement or thinks he is done there and merely needs to hold serve and improve the obviously horrible offense. Go snatch on of Clemson’s defensive guys. You can’t get that DC but take a brick and bring it home. They have done what needs to be done. Manny has never even viewed it except from the wrong side of the field. I like what he is doing on the O. Some evidence of self evaluation would be a true breath of fresh air.

Whether he was bad or not at his job the guy got to work make $ somehow you would do the same even if it was for less money. I swear some of you ***gits on here probably dont even have a job too much sunshine going to your heads sitting at the beach or hanging out on CIS all day
Derogatory comment?? Interesting!! If this is the standard for derogatory comments then there are a few 100 the mods have missed.

Surprised that none of our fellow autistic fans have not pointed out that same GT coach who hired Felder to GT also hired Feeley to Temple.
I mean, just saying for the benefit of members of this Wailing Wall who may need more material to cry upon.

I don’t know. They are Bible thrumpers. Catholics are not as passive. Remember those frigging Irish started the fight in the tunnel years ago. Mark might need to hunt up a nice clam Christian daycare center.
Wanted Mark but not Jon, so 'they"re still looking:
