He reduced McCloud's role because his position wasn't a fit in modern day defenses. Finley took that role and was the biggest surprise on defense.

McCloud is a great example of one who is not a football player. He’s a bag full of hammers. Constantly out of position and off balance going the wrong way. If he’s lined up he can hit people. Because of his athletic ability. But from day one he’s the guy you ask him what’s 2 plus 2 and he answers Kool Aid. On the field at least. That’s why he doesn’t play. Can’t save em all.

You guys are unbelievable. So all Manny did was coach his guys at practice and on gamedays? He had no say in anything else? He wasn’t allowed to say you need to get faster, watch more film, lose weight/gain weight, or anything? Ok
