I going to be honest. I wanted Butch Davis. I was accepting mario but was very scared. That being said, i think Manny is a better choice than the non-Miami guys.
I think because he was on Richt's staff, we associating him with richt but unlike Richt, this job means something to Manny. This is his dream job.
He only went to temple because he was disgusted and wanted to get experience because he knew richt was finished. Am i in love with his defense? not completely but
all his kids improved except Robert knowles. I know this will be tough with a first time HC and Im not in love with this hire AT ALL. However, this man is a savage, he blitzes in blowouts, he will def run up scores as a HC. He wants to win and unlike richt he learned from his mistakes after being fired. For richt this job was his rebound, for manny this job is his soulmate. im not optimistic he will kill it here but butch was my only sure thing. that being said, i think he was a better fit than babers, campbell, etc. Crazy day.

I don’t agree with everything you said, but I can agree with enough of it. How he fills out his staff will tell us a lot.

Fingers crossed, but I’m not a happy camper right now.

I respect your opinion, NYCane. But it’s really hard for me to digest how lazy this hire was. The only way I’m going to get excited for next year is if he breaks the bank and hires a savage OC, but I doubt that happens.

Limited physically bc they’re overweight, which should’ve been managed by Diaz. Doesn’t excuse their bad reads. That’s on the coach
