Guesses on the next first rounders on this team

Mensah would need to be Heisman level and lead Miami to the finals to sneak into the first round.

Scott needs to demonstrate consistency of dominance this season if he hopes to go day 1.

Fletcher needs to run low 4.4 to be a first round pick. He's more than likely a round 2 or 3 guy.

Wilson is a top 20 pick

OJ needs to demonstrate playmaking ability and also stay healthy if he wants to sneak into the first round. The same goes for Lucas.

Moten can sneak into the late 1st round with another great season.

I don't mean to come off as a wet blanket, but we need to bring our expectations down a bit regarding what our talent level is. But, all of that goes out the window with another deep playoff run - I think this last run helped guys like Messi, Beck, and Bell improve their draft stock

What do you mean “OJ needs to demonstrate more playmaking abili? ”. Even though Trent McDuffie just signed a $124 million deal with only one interception, his value comes from elite coverage—quarterbacks rarely throw at him because he’s allowed about a 36% completion rate since his freshman year, and receivers struggle to create separation against him. (please look up his advance analytical numbers)

Mensah could be a first round pick if we just make the playoffs. Quick math, Jets, Dolphins, Falcons, Cardinals, Steelers, Browns, Vikings. Odds are half of them are looking for a QB next year. Maybe Carolina and Houston depending on how the current QBs play. Also have to consider, the first overall pick in two consecutive years wasn’t even in many T5s to begin the year. Outside Wilson, I’d imagine Mensah has the best chance of going R1.

Mensah is a shoe in first rounder fletcher messed up coming back he would’ve been rb 3 at worse in this class. Scott going to be in a lot of preseason round 1 predictions. Same with OJ and Lucas both are Round 1 prototypes with alot of snaps. Playoffs will be the floor of our program going forward.

I think Mensah is a shoe in at this point so many qb needy teams next year. Dawson has shown the ability to get the best season out of guys in their money year he will do the same with Mensah.

I really don't get the hype of Dante Moore, at all. Arch Manning the hype was inevitable and I actual believe his struggles last year will help him progress. We shall see.

Wait why is everyone leaving off OJ? He's actually the biggest lock on the team. Idt people realize how highly regarded he really is lol It's auto 1st round unless he gets hurt.

They don’t want to hear it because he’s not part of the narrative, bro. What OJ did his freshman year as a corner is something you can make a case we may never see again. This man rarely gets beat—you can count on one hand how many times he’s been caught on. That’s crazy.

What narrative? Nobody is ****ting on OJ big dawg lol. Being an R1 pick isn’t just some easy thing to do. Are you OJ’s brother or something? 95% of your posts are OJ related. I’ve never seen anyone cape for a player so hard when it isn’t necessary.

I did the same thing for Jojo, Bain, or any player who’s gotten hurt—and y’all say they’re not good just because they missed a couple of games. Y’all don’t even watch the games. So if I think you’re really good and you’re not getting the credit you deserve, I’m going to root for you to succeed, bottom line. And I’m not related to OJ.

Well I can’t speak for others, but I never said he isn’t good “just because he missed a couple of games”. His availability is an issue though, that’s an objective fact. I’ve given him plenty of credit in this thread alone.

I love when ya’ll get on here and act like ya’ll are the only people that watch games too and no else does, that’s hilarious.
