Grooming the next OC

Enos isn’t stupid. At Alabama you run what Saban wants. Here at Miami he is being given the opportunity to run his offence. He also sees the talent we have on the roster and knows it’s not going to take much to bump us from 2nd last in the country to top 20. We have that type of talent here.

His quick decision to leave Bama is actually just another reason it make sense to plan beyond him. Because he’s not afraid to jump at an opportunity when he sees it.

If anybody thinks Enos was OC in waiting at Alabama I have some diamonds mines on my property I will sell you shares of. He came here at half or more of what Saban would have offered. Many times Saban has upped the ante for coaches threatening to leave and topped everyone else's salary for those coaches he wanted to keep. He let Kiffin have free range at OC. Obviously, Saban did not like Enos. Enos never called a play there. Saban is a master at picking future quality coaches. He will also eliminate in a heart beat those that don't perform like he has done several this year. With losing like the did, I knew heads would roll, and they did.

What has he accomplished at Miami to get these talks? Has Miami been an offensive juggernaut since Enos been here? Once again, we always hype someone up before even the **** spring game.

Yeap, let’s hope we have a system we want to continue at the end of the year. I like the guy and what we see happing is exciting but the field is what counts.

Hasn't called a play yet and you've got him taking over at Michigan State - not happening, nothing on his resume suggest he's qualified for that job
and one successful season at Miami will not change that, if it happens

Its just like any job in society really. Don't be the last man with a secret. You should always crosstrain and get the next guy ready. The moment you don't want to train/prepare the next man is the moment you're scared of doing the right thing and losing your job. If you're a top dog you should never think that way.

Near last in offense. SMH

He hardly has to do **** to look amazing for HC gigs

This is true, and once we are winning everything takes care of itself. Primarily recruiting. Where we failed however was continuing our success with good coach hires.

Even when we brought in Coker, who was the first bad hire we made, we were recruiting tremendous talent still. All we needed was a good staff to continue to develop that talent. Coker fired everyone after LSU. Then our coaching went downhill from there. Especially the HC spot.

Right now we have to win, and build some serious recruiting momentum. Then we have to develop the talent.

Sure, we're going to lose coaches, and we always will simply because we can't pay what the bigger programs do right now. Hopefully we hold onto a good HC for a little while and he'll backfill with quality hires. But if we lose the HC and if our AD doesn't have his head in his ***, he'll be able to backfill sensibly as well.

Successful businesses create the infrastructure for sustained success. It always starts with leadership at the top. If Manny is able to build a strong staff with time and have some redundancy, it will dramatically help his success as head coach.

there are always guys on market ever offseason as oc. okstate has gone to Princeton and others fcs schools for there new oc I like what Clemson does but ok state has top offenses all the time by being a team willing to think outside the box and go get up and comers to come coach the offense. plus if dantonio is fired and I don't see it Michigan state isn't a top 3 job in big 10 for one and is 2nd in own state pat Narduzzi has to be fav for that job

We thrive on fear, and anger here

But I do agree ........this falls under great problems to have
