The entire situation is almost too repulsive to believe. Even modern day sports movie satires about trashy coaches don't touch the material provided by this story.

You would have to be an idiot to send your son to a school with a coach who lets kids get buggered. I hope he stays on Urb's staff and other coaches use that to negatively recruit against Urb.

Either Schiano is lying, or another PSU coach, Mike McQueary, is lying.

Let's break it down, what motivation does MM, have for lying? What does he stand to gain? Can anybody think of a reason.

So what does MM stand to lose by lying? Well, a lot, because his statement is under oath.

Schiano, by admitting it, would probably lose his job, and definitely his reputation. By lying, he keeps his job, his reputation, and since it's his word against MM, and he's not under oath, he has literally nothing to lose by lying and claiming MM is the liar.

So, Schiano has everything to gain and nothing to lose by lying, McQueary has nothing to gain and plenty to lose by lying.

You make the call.
 
Guys, give the Board of Trustees some overdue props: we dodged a bullet. There were people on this board who preferred Schiano over Butch, much less Richt.

By the way, was Sandusky the DC on the PedState team that beat us in 1987?

I don't think there were any legitimate posters who favored Schiano over Richt.

If they did, they should go for a mental exam.
 
Some of y'all live in a bubble of illusion. History has shown time and time again that man is capable of despicable acts yet we don't want to believe them.

You've got to be a plumb dumb fool if you think a man can go 15+ years molesting children and not have the backing of very powerful people.

One of the reasons I always believed the NCAA came down so hard on Miami for its various sins was to take the light and the heat off of other programs.

Nobody really wants to go after Bama and Notre Dame. Besides, they are TV cash cows. Penn State was a similar case. I'm certain this was one of the reasons Miami took such a beating, especially after the 1991 Cotton Bowl.
