Greg Cote Says Richt DIdn't Retire; He Quit

The man looks defeated and burned out. Why are you trashing a man who realizes that its time to step aside? Cote prefer he stick around when he has no energy to do this anymore?

Well if you read the article Cote believes that Richt should have made the attempt to turn the program around rather than bailing out when the going got tough. Richt viewed it as basically starting over (according to his statement to the Herald) & wasn't up for doing it. This is why you don't "talk someone into taking a job" with the hope that it works out. Clearly it didn't work out in this case. LET'S GO CANES!

Arguments over semantics are tedious and pointless. Instead of arguing about this, we should be celebrating that his *** is out of here. We should also be scared to death at the likely prospect of yet another terrible selection who will be horribly overpaid and will, in effect, do nothing more than keep kicking the can that is Miami football down the curb.

Go coach some trash program like Les Miles did, 6 or 5 wins is great, 8 or 9 wins they build a statue, u get to run a mom and pop operation with Jon and Thomas Brown and have a mini monastery.

I actually think Richt might have health issues. Anyone met him recently would probably think the same. The man is a stand up guy. He has done right by the U.

Was hoping this would happen. Whoever takes Richt’s place has a huge job on his hands. This program is a mess as a result of four horrific coaching hires. The numbnuts who run this school better be ready to pony up big time for someone they can absolutely turn this football program around or it’s over.

It's not about paying the HC, it's about the Assistant Coach Salary pool.

That is what matters here. Big Time coaches ain't coming here we cant pay the assistants.
