Greatest Defensive performance

I don’t think it was targeting but if that’s an ACC crew they review that and call it. Giving A&M the ball at the 1. He didn’t lower his head or use the crown but A&M and Elko were asking for it
No. They get it at the 2.5 and still have to throw because they were out of timeouts. Targeting there doesn’t change the next play. It would only mean Toure is suspended first half next game..

Great game but 0 makes that whole back end go. It’s nowhere near the same without him. Tacking and always in the right spot is irreplaceable.
Interesting that Thomas was taken out and Fitz inserted in final play. They trust him and he delivered.

Quick question:

Does Cashius Howell actually exist?

The ability of this defense to bow up after turnovers this year is incredible. We’ve seen it all season.

After the Toney fumble, they ran 5 plays, three of them went for 0 or negative yards, including 2 sacks by Bain, the last of which forced a punt. There was a hands to the face on that play too that we declined but if they get positive yards on that play Elko almost certainly decides to go, and who knows what happens. But 3rd and 6 becomes 4th and 9 and they have to punt.

The defense just never cracks. I’ve said since about the end of September in my weekly stat roll threads that this is a national championship caliber defense. Anyone doubt that any longer?

In the history of the program.
January 1, 1992 was the greatest defensive performance I’ve ever seen in a game which mattered. Not even close.

But I respect the thoughts about today. It was both old school and moving in a glorious way.
