Great take on the SEC favoritism

The SEC storyline is getting old. They’re the strongest conference, but they’re still dominated by the same 1-2 teams just like every other conference. Bama and LSU have run the conference with the occasional good year from Auburn or Georgia. Everyone else in the conference is riding their success.
 
Did they use the we were mentally exhausted excuse? I heard that from someone else.
 
It's a southern/hick/conservative identification thing. Trash culture spewing its resentments. Inferiority complex soothing itself with the idea that if our mercenary football players win, "we" win. And if "we" win, we're just as good as those people we believe look down on us.
