Great Story about Frank Gore

Did not know Herndon was still on the Jets. Glad to see him sticking in the league.

I know Cager is not anyone’s favorite Cane but hopefully he makes the Jets final roster and has a solid career.

Herndon is the starting TE. Cager was waived but Jets picked him up for the Practice squad. Berrios made the 53 man roster and is 2nd team WR and punt returner

Thanks. I recalled Herndon on the Jets but thought he had some legal issues. I don’t follow the Jets at all so I haven’t noticed he was still there.

Glad for Berrios. Hopefully he’ll stick.

Herndon is going to have a monster season. Last year was a total waste, but he’s healthy again and his rookie year was one of the best years by a rookie TE ever.

Cager is not a Cane. Last I remember, he had a big fat G on his helmet. He should be irrelevant on this board

For the sake of argument, if King is one and done here, is he a Cane or not? He, like Cager, decided to go somewhere to try and up his game in the eyes of the NFL. Cager went his senior season, doing essentially the same thing.

I don't know what Cager claims, but he spent three years as a Cane while King spent all but one as a Cougar. When it comes to making a business decision like they both did, I cut them some slack and they can claim whatever.

If you were here at least one full year, you're in the family, in my opinion.

Willie Williams, is a 'Cane. So was Kellen Winslow Jr. Now, post 'Canes, neither of them exactly won Ms. Congeniality, did they? Neither did Sapp.

But for better or for worse, they are Canes.

You know how in your family, there are people you really don't want to talk about? I've got a cousin sitting in prison for life for murdering an old man. But, whether I like it or not, he IS family.

(We don't talk.)

We aren't gonna pull a Florida Gator and pretend Aaron Hernandez didn't play for us.

Cager has earned the right to be choose. Does he call himself a Cane or a Bulldog? If he calls himself a Cane, then I'm all in on him. If he calls himself a Dawg, then **** him, he's dead to me.

Goes both ways. Brock Berlin, Colbert, Gus Edwards, Cager, Hightower, Roche, King, etc.... They're all Canes as long as they declare their citizenship.

I am not sure how I feel about dual citizenship, though. I suppose Houston/Miami may be acceptable. But Georgia/Miami, no friggin way.

I believe he was here 4 years. He was playing as a true freshmen and making plays. People forget he suffered a bad ACL injury later in his freshman year and took a red shirt his sophomore recovering. It was a slow road back for him.

I understand your point but transferring in is much different than leaving.

A player transferring in for one season is Cane unless he no longer publicly associates himself with the program.

A player transferring out to get himself an opportunity for more playing time and possibly a shot the NFL is still a Cane unless he trashed the program.

Exceptions:

Transferring to a hated rival. Lingard is no longer a Cane after transferring to UF. Deal breaker. Period.
Transferring out and no longer calling yourself a Cane. Arthur Brown and Robert Marve, for example.
Transferring out because the player was dismissed for rules violations or legal problems.

Cager considers himself a Bulldog. He said on Twitter a while ago he should have went there from the start.
