Great Article Regarding Beck and OL

Becks leadership being questioned here was about as eye roll inducing as Cam Wards fumbling the year before
Why would a sustained fumbling problem be eye rolling? Same as Becks interception problem. Those are very real areas of concern both had/have to prove they improved on. Being careless with the ball is always an issue. And it’s not like we didn’t see that at times out of Cam this year. Just more often than not he overcame it. And he generally limited those negatives decently well. But it’s not like it didn’t impact us - Cal game, VTech game, Fumbling to lose/end the game against GTech…

I think Becks leadership was eye-rolling though, given there was basically never anything negatively even said that didn’t have to do with his GF at the time or I guess money basically…

Hang on I’m gonna spend more constructive time explaining to my dog why it’s bad to eat out of the garbage can

I had more concerns about Cam then I do about Beck. The fumbling was a real issue for Cam but it obviously wasn't last year. Cam had also not played against this level of comp. There's no reason a healthy Beck shouldn't have a monster year unless our WRs are really terrible. And I don't think that will be the case.

💯 Those of us up here in Georgia said it all throughout the spring.
My issue is that all the UGA fans up here have been bad mouthing Beck. I think they are trying to wish into reality a bad season for Beck as that would justify not trying harder to keep him, and would also not require UGA people to acknowledge that Mike Bobo is a bad hire; again.

Yeah I truly don’t get why they don’t see how bad Bobo is. It’s so weird.

But you are spot on. Their heads would explode because they have been brainwashed to never go against the cult of Kirby and his minions. Or maybe I should say, the cult of Sonny Smart. It really all started with Sonny.

Cam v Oregon State, Washington, Oregon in 2023, all 3 were ranked top 15

1,159 yards, 9 TDs, 3 INTs

TrumpyCane doesn't think "level of competition" was it, like you said the only real concern were his fumbles

Yea they were all ranked but none had great defenses. That UW team as great as they were were 56th in total defense. That gets DCs fired around these parts. Offense carried them. And for all those Pac12 teams really.

Interceptions are a worse problem then fumbling imo. Rather work to correct the guy with the fumble problem than the guy throwing interceptions whenever he's pressured or forced to move. The Question with Cam was how well he'd stick On-Script and not try to be a hero/force things all the time. Whereas with Beck it's Can he be a hero when needed or when a play needs to be made. They're almost opposites coming in...

Yea and not to mention with our OL he wasn't constantly running for his life like at WSU. They are very different QBs. I don't think I've ever seen Beck do the dance around the pocket til someone gets open thing Cam does. Beck either hits one of his reads, tucks it, or turfs it.

Can’t be true about Beck. He doesn’t even like football. Doesn’t establish connections with teammates. What other garbage was being said?

UGA had its issues with protection and drops. Neither of which we struggled with last year. History has shown starting QB’s in their 4-5th year have accelerated command of offenses and turn in premium performances. I think we can expect the same but different results as a whole than last year in certain aspects. When 2025 ends I expect beck to be a first round pick off the board and that lends itself to a very successful season for us. Yes I do mean playoffs and then anything is possible. Just my two cents.
