Great article on Fullback Marquez Williams

“I tell people all the time when I was at Mars Hill, we got one pair of cleats, we got three pairs of game socks, a workout shirt, workout shorts and an undershirt for the game,” he said. “But other than that, you didn’t get too much more.

Trust me he is already humbled and realizes the blessing he has upon him.

Love the part about Mars Hill and how he didn't get much and now gets tons of stuff but doesn't take it for granted. Seems like a good guy, rooting for him.

Therein lies the difference between Williams and the knuckleheads who took free luxury car rentals. So easy to root for guys like him.

I'm interested in seeing how he does this year - he could make an NFL squad if he plays well....

The last FB to play in the pros was a different Williams - Nick Williams (I think he was the last one, anyway) from the Butch years....

This has been a win win for everyone involved, I hope he stays healthy and goes on to a good career in the NFL even if it is on the practice squad to save some money before he starts his after football career in social work.

It will be interesting to see how Miami replaces him next year.

Go Canes

Najeh ended up working at wendy's on US 1 right? He never suited up for the packers nor did he ever **** on his girls shoes

Najee was a FB at the end of his Miami career, Quad Hill and Pat Hill(The original frog man) weren't bad either, but neither could catch on at the next level.

Do you really consider Najeh to be a FB?

He "played" FB to get the most talented players on the field. And he was only an FB after his knee injury.

The readdition of a true fullback position is lowkey my favorite part of our new staff.
