Yeah I'm not sure who thought this would be a good idea but it's a failure.

Smart. Maybe add some more ad space down both sides of every thread (in the black spaces). Could also add more ads horizontally across each thread every 3 porsts or so. I bet you could probably figure out some slick way to have the ads just pop in and out, barely overlapping with the reaction and reply buttons, that way we're all just accidentally clicking on the ads all the time. Really drum up that ad revenue.

In fact, forget avatars. That's critical ad space. I'm already on it, man.
 
Yeah this is brutal and not user friendly. Please get your ad rev elsewhere. I'd rather pay $10/year than 'X' out of all these ads.

On my phone it grays out some of the "reply" tabs and "scroll up and down" tabs and I have to slide up the screen to get around it
