This is a very interesting article from 247 about Memphis QB Paxton Lynch, who's tearing it up in Justin Fuente's high-powered offense. It goes without saying that every in-state school missed badly on this kid.

Miami had the small private school quarterback in camp several times according to Lynch’s prep coach Allen Johnson.

“I had a real connection with a couple Miami guys and they thought Gray Crow was better than him,” Johnson said. “I was dumbfounded. We went to every Miami camp. They just didn’t see it. That coaching staff didn’t see it.”

I will say it again. AG would **** up an all expense paid trip top the bunny ranch. the only accomplishment he has is being the biggest loser
 
Was Lynch an Early Enrollee?

I'm fairly certain the only reason we took Dewey and Crow is because both could come in January ...

I won't knock them for this miss.
 
even all the arm chair evaluators on the message boards thought Crow was a bum. Blustein, who always has something nice to say, said the kid needs alot of work.

just shows how bad our staff is. always outsmarting themselves.
 
I was watching the Feinbaum show a few days ago and Lynchs name came up.

Luginbill said he pretty much didn't play in Hs, had an injury his Sr year that hurt recruiting.

He wasn't even on their recruiting database, which has over 2000 kids on it. Nobody saw this kid coming, he slipped through the cracks .

As for Crow, I remember watching his film in disbelief, he looked nothing like a D1 qb, not even a Mac school. Then the slurpers said he's good, he just played in a run heavy offense lol.

Fuente has a pretty good record with QBs ... First, Andy Dalton at TCU ... And now, Paxton Lynch at Memphis.

Gotta imagine he'd like working with Brad Kaaya ...

Al is bad at a lot of things, but the guy didn't throw the ball in high school? You can be fantastic in camps, but that's far different than a game. Everyone overlooked this kid, it happens.

Having said that, Crow looked like crap in games and at camps. I was accused at some point of having a personal vendetta against him or his family as I simply thought the offer was a horrible one.
 
still can't believe after seeing crow's game film they gave him an offer. i've never seen such bad "highlights". he was bad in high school. now i'm not recruiting guru but i find it hard to believe that bad high school play translates to a good college play.

+1 Crow threw for about 900 yards his senior season, but some how he showed out @ Golden's lil Pop Warner camp.
 
With the effort Fuente's put forth at Memphis, and should have a stellar year, why does anyone think he would come to Miami if the job opens up?

the more time passes...the clearer it becomes that Al golden is in over his fat fuggin head. He will never win **** anywhere
 
Someone posted a highlight video of Crow in HS and he looked like he sucked at that level.
