And yes in the real world you will be fired, but behind closed doors, not have it aired out on social media like what happens with coaching changes. The two are not comparable.

In the real world, nowadays, you have to have your T’s crossed and your i’s dotted before you can fire anybody. It is a long drawn out process. Believe me. Anytime you involve human resources, they’re going to delay things like crazy and be super careful. Unless you get fired for some gross misconduct, it’s all a process.

Firing coaches might actually be slightly easier, than in the real world, but still there are other factors to consider, like having suitable candidates to interview, working out the separation package, many other details and contingencies, it’s just not something where you grab somebody by the throat, throw them into a room put your finger in their face, and say you’re fired. It doesn’t work that way.
