Grades for 1st year coaches (hint a Miami coach has the worst grade)

Mario waited until February 13th to fire Jim Leavitt. Then promoted his LB coach (Avalos) on February 27th.

Mario gave his LB coach (Wilson) a bump in title to Co-DC in December. Avalos leaves for Boise St in January. Wilson is promoted to DC (with 2 Co-DC. one of them was Joe Salave'a).

Just sayin.. Mario already has a Co-DC at LB coach on staff and a former Co-DC ready to go if he moves on from Steele. After signing day In mid February of course.

Mario is quickly going from a home run hire to a dude that was actually hitting home runs at a little league park. He's not what most thought he was.

id agree w this grade.

id raise it to a d+ if you include recruiting. he failed as a coach this season all while losing the team and putting together a toxic staff
 
Reality is most of the fan base didn’t predict this type of season and are very disappointed with several aspects of the team from this year. Mario needs to adjust and recruit like a madman (which so far he has) to start getting this thing moving in the right direction. We as fans just will have to wait and see how the next several weeks unfold.
