We should over recruit over sign D line every year and may the best guys win whiever wants to transfers bc they got beat out to bad. This is the one position you have to be great at to win a championship. We should sign at least 2 to 3 on the d line every year.

Judge for yourself, but dude seems like a head-case to me.... In my experience, coaching these type of guys they'll only play at their best level when you **** them off.

Otherwise, he'll be a dud because of focus issues. Dude will probably get distracted by a dragonfly flying over the field:

Oh, **** no. I am sure Alabaga, Clemson and Ohio Taint are all over this guy. We will never get. :t5diA6fawIHW78.jpg: Fvck me if we are pulling these kind of cats.

Probably trying to keep it low key until after signing day so it doesn’t give any recruits a reason to look elsewhere

*SMH* @ recruits being scared off by a transfer from Illinois.

It’s anything these days. Especially when you’re trying to close on 3 DTs that you’re pushing playing time with all of the attrition

How many of you Kendall and Hialeah w-ggers pronounce it Illinoise.

Hey, maybe he's got some Jalen Ramsey in him. Maybe he wants some Jalen Ramsey in him.

I don't really care either way because we added a graduate transfer at a huge position of need. This is fantastic news any way you cut it.
.

Yeah, idgaf if he is a sword swallower. As long as he f*cks over OLmen and QB's, I am good with that.

Not sure how this is an negative for all of you that have been wailing about DTs. He had **** near 30 tackles last year, which isn't far off from our DTs tackle totals and solid production for that position. He's coming from a Big 10 school not FCS. He's a grown man and I'm looking forward to seeing what Coach Kul can do with him. Wouldn't be shocked if he started but either way he will definitely see the field.

If recruits are scared off by a 5th year senior then they might not be the best recruits for us. I don't see why it would have any effect on them. But no matter how you look at it this is a win win. At absolute worst, he will provide depth until we can get our numbers right at DT and not just with true freshman but I expect him to have a bigger impact then that.

You all ain't happy unless your miserable.

this right here, well said bro

A coach who can’t sell the DT PT opportunity at UM right now needs a new occupation. This should be a giant positive for that endeavor. ‘We’re so desperate for DL, we’re taking transfers from the last place team in the B1G.’ Any recruit who doesn’t think he can play on Illinois shouldn’t be a recruit to begin with.

Good move. There is a need for bodies at DT. Even ones that have valley girl voices.

Big brother was a freak athlete and top 5 DE/OLB in the nation coming out of HS. Interesting that he chose to go to Northwestern.

Maybe not so surprising if you consider that his dad apparently graduated from a very good engineering school in Illinois and I believe (based on last name)
his dad is Nigerian.
Lots of Nigerians play at Northwestern, Rice, Stanford, Cal,etc over the years.
They take school very seriously.

Did not expect him to sound like that

might have a slight speech impediment, but he seems pretty intelligent

Well he is from Ohio, so he's got some geographically-based DNA limitations.

To your point though, He does seem to be overcoming that fairly well.

I don't even understand what this is supposed to mean? I'm from Ohio and so are countless other intelligent, successful people. You talk like it's known as being back woodsy like WV or something but that's just not the case. Need to get out of SF(LOL) more often. Could you elaborate on the geographically based DNA limitations Ohio residents have to endure? So I can refute it. Thanks.

We just hate the Buckeyes.

Had to hold off a bit waiting to see Suckeyestreit lovers hating on this guy. He is from the same South Western Ohio High School as Kirky, Centerville. So any cracks need to be taken back, since he roamed the same halls as the deity that is "The Streit."

Ohioans have a huge problem in how the say the word "Across." They almost always pronounce it as the non-standard "acrossed"

Example:

Coach Richt went across the street to avoid making contact with a potential recruit, lest Mark Emmert's NCAA spies were hiding in the bushes.

Ohio Example:

Coach Meyer went acrossed the street to shake hands with all his bag men, making sure they were ready before the next signing day.

See the difference?

It was a cheap crack designed specifically to get the response that I got from you above.

How's the weather in Ahia?

The voice and the silly wave didn't bother me. Having a high pitched voice never stopped Mike Tyson from knocking em out.

My only question was can he play??? and evidently he can.

Not where he would sing in the choir or what group he would choose to hang with on campus.

Two additional things
1. If the best DL Coach in the nation Coach Kool thinks he can play here and contribute and is worth having then IMO he's worth having.
2. Having more depth is NEVER a bad thing

What kind of a RACIST BS comment was that? Yet another example of the infantile minds that post on this board. Grow up little kid.
