gotta give the acc credit for transparency with officiating

Anyone who watched the GT-Wake game today wishes they had replay and transparency for offsides calls. Totally robbed Wake of an upset at home. I'll grant you the ACC did a good thing by sharing the replay review process on TV. However, the on field officiating still is abysmal WAY too often.

THE BLOWHIO / WASHINGTON OFFICIATING WAS HORRIBLE….

-SIDELINE JUDGE BUMPS INTO THE HUSKIES HC ON THE SIDELINE…NO SIDELINE WARNING…AUTOMATIC 15 YRD PENALTY

- DURING THE SAME DRIVE, UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT ON THE HUSKIES HC FOR ARGUING A CALL …15YRD UNSPORTSMANLIKE PENALTY

- ROUGHING THE PASSER AGAINST WASHINGTON (CALLED IT A HIGH CONTACT HIT) DEFENDER BRUSHED THE QB’s RIGHT SHOULDER…EVEN THE COMMENTATORS WERE CALLING IT A “FLAG FOOTBALL” HIT…BLOWHIOW WOULD’VE HAD TO SETTLE FOR A FIELD GOAL

THE ENTIRE GAME WAS NOTHING BUT THE “RESURRECTION OF TERRY PORTER” PAID-OFF PHU@KSTICK OFFICIATING…

40 years of watching UM versus Notre Dame Refs.

40 years of watching UM versus Tobacco Road Refs.

40 years of watching UM versus ANY ACC opponent.

That's why.
I get it. But my view is ACC just has the worst football officials in the power 4 (and I don't think it's close honestly)

SEC is having a bad year (officiating-wise) but the ACC year in and year out are bottom of power 4

Of course you’re going to see more transparency. The ACC has had egg on their face numerous times already with one of their top officials quitting due to the replay crew and the season is still young. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next Sat in Trailerville.

But don't you find it a bit unusual when for example the Tobacco Road's refs ALWAYS call everything possible against UM, and oddly, all the breaks go to the Tobacco Road teams?

That's not poor ref-ing, that's outright bias.

One of our National Championship Trophies resides in the Ohio State Trophy Cabinet - due to a clear, documented, outright sequence of a fabricated call.

I addressed your statement. You mentioned two.

Now you say there were others.

Clarity requires specificity.

Let's tighten up.

"So when replays could have gone against us at least three times last year in game-changing situations, how did those replays go?"

I can do a screenshot as well, if you need it. Otherwise, apology accepted.

Let's tighten up.

Me: "So when replays could have gone against us at least three times last year in game-changing situations, how did those replays go?"
You: "I addressed your statement. You mentioned two."

CIS gonna CIS.

I like that you can hear their conversations about it, but they will still blatantly cheat. It's just like media being well aware that holding is deliberately ignored all the time, then suddenly called when they want to strategically break a drive. They lie constantly.
The holding stuff has to be super blatant and ofc they will miss some. Everyone knows on earth knows they are holding Bain, imagine them calling it every play? Lol

There won’t be a game

You really are . . . sensitive.

Touchy. Emotional. Tender. Temperamental. Thin Skinned. Touchy, even.

Let me assist: Go s**t in your hat.

Most people wouldn't double down after establishing that they ****ed up the ability to read a basic sentence. But here you are.

There are two options: 1.) Call it when it exists. It won't happen every play, at least not after teams see that refs are serious about it. They'll just adjust how they play rather than accept constant penalties. It would change the game of course. 2.) Change the blocking rules so that you allow OL to do more and can have basically the game you do now without it being so fraudulent that rules are ignored.

My complaint is that holding is often SELECTIVELY enforced so that it favors certain teams in key situations. Taking Miami out of it for the sake of objectivity, I've watched years of football where a team like Texas gets into a close one with Oklahoma State, Kansas State etc. It's absolutely unreal how consistently holding will be ignored most of the time until suddenly a key drive by KSU/OSU needs to be broken to hand Texas a win. And as you can imagine, Texas isn't the only team that's gotten this benefit.

But, interestingly, it was only when he got to Miami they stopped calling fouls every possession. Shaq was always at the line in L.A. He just sucked at free throws.

Do any of you diehard nerds (respectfully) have the actual number of holds called this season both for and against us.. declined ones included. Just curious.

Crazy to think that non call will likely get them into the ACC championship.
Their schedule is baby**** soft.
