Gotta be honest

I thought we were done, because we never spent money. I was told we couldn't afford real coaching hires and that’s why we replaced a National Championship winning coach with Randy Shannon.
I was F@&$ing LIED TO!

I’m guessing I’m older than most here and have been a Miami fan since attending my first game in ‘79, so I’ve seen the best of times and over the last 20 years figured we’d never be able to make a serious run and become dominant again.
What’s happened in the last 48 hours is nothing short of stunning.
I really hope all you young folks get to experience 1/5th of what it was like.

//cool story bro!
Been a Cane since ‘67 so I got few years on you my friend. Lol. I had the same sentiment while I was watching Mario’s presser. I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact I would probably never see us relevant the rest of my days. And I **** sure know what irrelevancy looks like.

I was like a kid in a candy store yesterday and apparently there’s more great news coming shortly.

Ah i'm in newark, moved up several months ago. Not many UM fans up here, nice to know there's at least 1 in the state
I'm here my brother, maybe we can possibly catch a game and chop it up... and also we have conference calls with other Cane fans,
DM @mdpcane.

It's a riot believe me... LOL

'75 Grad - been through lots of ups and downs. Supported the school and athletics in many ways, but mostly gave up after realizing the previous leadership was not committed.

I can honestly say I have renewed hope. Talk is cheap but the commitment, strategy and people involved seem legit this time. Fingers crossed. Go Canes.

My first game was in 1979 against La Tech...it was Sylvester Stallone night....been around for the first one and every one since....it's extremely painful for those who lived all of it to see what has happened over the last 15 years....today feels different...today feels good

With the sudden investment now....I almost feel like this scene will be taking place (proverbially speaking, of course).

Galvatron equals the SEC dominance of the last 15 years, and Unicron the entire static hulk of the corrupt NCAA.

I am with this. My **** is starting to get old at 48.

Now maybe, just maybe I will live to see #6 hoisted.
Facts. I had almost resigned myself to just being a fan of a perennial middling ACC team forever. The last 48hrs has given me some hope that we can wake up from this 20yr nightmare. Finally it feels like the stars are aligning.

What is the average age here if anyone knows?

I thoughts we were all 50 plus. I graduated in 93 with Mario outside in the heat. Not that I was thinking about that fact at the time. We had three speakers: Jane Goodall, president of Iceland, and Gloria Estefan. Gloria got all the cheers.

So, I guess I lived the glory days. It was fun but we didn’t think of it as such. We were just winning.

Anyway, I think, as many that it is attainable again. We have had an amazing run of bad decisions and bad leaders and bad luck since Butch.

Let’s hope the class of 93 can just get that contagious winning vibe going asap.

Go Canes.

I caught on, from Jersey in 1988, and I'll tell you this is the closest that I've felt in a long time that we are back in business.

and the feeling that @QuattroCane said "I really hope all you young folks get to experience 1/5th of what it was like."

Honestly, that's no lie!

Go Canes!!!
I was on board in 1980.. in 7 the grade...it has been a great ride...then some **** times..can't wait for the good times again

I'm your age and agree 100%.

This is a turning point in our history that we will remember forever.
