Gore 5th all time all purpose yards

Just as an FYI where he stands... he'll retire at #5 and won't pass Emmitt.

I was absolutely flabbergasted to see Brian Mitchell is #2 and very, very close behind Jerry Rice. IMO that earns you a spot in the Hall.

He also got to under 1K in rushing yards behind #2 Payton. Keep pumping out 60 a game, and it will start to get interesting. Does he have 1 more year in the tank?

"You don't want to go 0-16, especially if this is my last year," he said Sunday after the New York Jets' 34-28 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. "I can't go out like that.

"Hopefully, we can get one. And I can't wait until we get it. I'll be so happy. If it is my last year, I can't say I'm going out 0-16."

Hey Shannon sharpe if barry sanders can be a HOF then Gore is way more deserving

Probably should pump the breaks a bit. Barry Sanders is the best RB that’s ever lived. Frank is definitely a HOF player though. I agree with Shannon outside of a 3 year stretch Gore has never been considered Top 3 at his position at any time.

He’s played at a time with the following guys.

Peterson
Edge
Tomlinson
Faulk
Ricky Williams
Bettis
Priest Holmes
Shaun Alexander
Henry
Chris Johnson
David Johnson
Stephen Jackson

Who were all considered top dogs over various points of Frank’s career.

I’m not trolling here. David Johnson was considered the best back in the league for a couple of years. My point is on any given year outside of a 3 year stretch you couldn’t say Gore was top 3 at his position. Restructured knees or hip problems aside. Gore is more like Curtis Martin as far as longevity and good numbers. He’s only had a couple of great seasons though.
