GOOD COACHING DECISIONS By Richt .... Please Give an Example of One.

The principles for being a successful major college football coach are the same as they are in business or in life in general.

The key is being able to MAKE GOOD DECISIONS. Great coaches make great decisions !

In last year's Natl Champ game, changing his QB at halftime was an example of a great coaching decision by Saban and Bama won.

Please give an example of even ONE good coaching decision made by Mork Richt in his entire coaching career. Or has he skated along and won games just by having good talent.

Pulling Rosier for Perry.

That's all I can think of.

Implementing the FB for short yardage situations and moving Choc to FB has been a very good move. It has been successful all season outside of the Virginia game. In that game we ran it two times in a row and the defense was begging us to do it. The toss sweep was wide open. Outside of that, very good installment in the offense.

This was only a good decision cause it worked and they won, if they would've lost people would've said that's so stupid you put a freshman in the champ game blah blah blah

Right...Bama was desperate to find a spark. UGA had them on the ropes.

Butch Davis Head Coach record: 77–50

Mark Richt Head Coach record: 169-61

We were very fortunate to have Butch while he was here. I wish he had stayed. But he didn't, life goes on and we must face reality ....not what we wish reality was

No matter how much you like and want him or how much his many fans complain and despite his many accomplishments while here ....The hard and simple fact is , and its NOT me or anyone on this board wishing it...just look at what's happening and continues to happen to him while he seeks to get back into P5 coaching..The hard and simple fact is that Butch seems to be considered radioactive by major programs.

Why? I don't know ..You and I can only guess. Until he gets a major HC position that is reality. Getting angry at me for saying it will not change reality. I'm not responsible for holding him back nor is anyone else on this board. I'm just stating the obvious.

I'm not going to argue the merits of why or whether its true or not because that's besides the point and meaningless. Reality is reality until it changes. To date it hasn't changed for Butch

The simple fact remains he's still at FIU ....and to date that's the best he's able to do for whatever reason. Numerous openings better than FIU have occurred at P5 universities. Every time Miami has had an opening he was not selected. Why? There has to be a reason and I doubt any of us really knows the facts..... besides that he continues not getting major offers

Getting a top tier coaching job and being paid lots of money for nothing. Only one that comes to mind for me.

FSU vs Miami 2016..that play call to Stacey..double move to fade for a TD was a great play call/decision..back to back game winning drives vs FSU in 17. Great play calls..Hiring manny Diaz even tho many thought he’s end at Texas would be his last major job. Bringing in Dugans. Hiring coach kul followed by Simpson. Coach Rumph..donation of his own money to facilitate and expediate the IPF. The work he has players and staff do around the community with the youth football programs. And paradise camp. He’s done good things here..y’all didnt have this energy when we was winning last year
