Off-Topic Gone too soon.

One regret for me is that I didn’t take any pics with them unlike my sisters
I have tons of pics from when I was a kid but I put them away in my storage locker for now.... Not ready to look at that stuff... But I hear ya....

Yep. I grew up watching boxing every Friday nite on TV in the 50s. My dad was a big fan. All weight levels were featured and there were plenty of top fighters back then. This was the era between Rocky Marciano and Ali -- roughly 1953-63.

I wouldn't even call WWE "fixed" or "corrupt." It was pure entertainment where the result really never mattered. It was never covered on the Sports pages of newspapers just as the Harlem Globetrotters vs Washington Generals basketball games weren't really "sports" in the accepted sense.

And don't forget, much of Muhammad Ali's off-ring schtick came from pro wrestling as he was reportedly a fan of the product growing up. Although in his case, he was obviously legit in the ring, walking the talk as they say.

What a wonderful, sweet personality. Beloved by the country not only for her sporting success, but also her kind, free way of living and her humble personality. Retired at 25 because she had won it all and just wanted to climb mountains and enjoy nature. Was seen on german broadcasting as an analyst and even there, despite her shy nature, she fit absolutely perfectly.

God damnit.

I'd like to add something. It was her explicit wish, actually written down, that nobody should sacrifice their life or endanger themselves if they tried to rescue her after a serious accident.

Even in the chilling way of this message and the chilling reality of what's happened, this sums up her personality more so than anything else.

RIP Loni Anderson.

She won't be at WKRP in Cincy tomorrow.

Sorry for your loss

So **** tough losing parents
Do your best to take heart in the happy memories you made with them.

Our parents' legacy lives on in each of us...the good and not so good...and that's ok.

We all have two days in common on Earth: the day we are born and the day we pass. Some are given far too little time while others don't deserve a single day they ultimately waste.

What we do between those days echoes on into eternity.

Make the days count by being the best human you can be.
