This one hurt. Loved watching him growing up.
RIP MJWThis hurts. My father was a Captain for Eastern Airlines before they ceased operations. One evening in the 80s Warner was a passenger on one of his flights. My dad asked him, at the height of his fame, to sign an autograph for his 3 kids. Warner was extremely friendly and personalized an autograph for us (He must have been 16-17 at the time). At the height of the Cosby shows fame, to wake up one morning to see his autograph and my name in the "To" part, directly from him, was as thrilling as things could get at that time and at that age.
Not sure how he handled the rest of his life but his kindness made some kids feel really special when he could have just as easily said he was too busy, or just no. Especially at that age. Thanks MJW and godspeed.
