Off-Topic Gone too soon.

I know we typically devote this place to celebrities and such, but there’s no bigger celebrity to me than my mom, whom I lost a little over a month ago on Nov. 16th. People ask me every day if I’m doing any better. With each passing day the loss becomes a little easier to accept, but I don’t think you ever truly get over losing your parents. My mom….gone too soon.
Sorry for your loss... I lost my mom in May of 2024 ... Wish you the best... Being thankful for time spent with her helps a lot I learned...

Thanks man, and I’m sorry for your loss as well. I miss coming home from work every day and talking to her. That’s definitely what I miss most. Just…talking. We just have to remind ourselves that this flesh and blood is temporary, but the soul is eternal. Our loved ones are with us wherever we go. Peace ✌️ my friend.

Lost my dad 12 years ago. While it may get easier a day doesn't go by that I don't think about home multiple times. Remember the good memories that helps. I laugh now when I catch myself doing something just like Dad did. Or I say something that sounds like it came from him. My heart breaks for you.
Thanks for the kind words, my friend. At least with my mom I was able to say goodbye properly, but the circumstances of my dad’s death made it harder to accept. He actually had broken his hip a couple months prior and literally THE DAY I was supposed to go pick him up to bring him home they called me at 6:00 A.M. to tell he he had passed from an aneurysm. Life really does have a cruel sense of humor sometimes. He was a great father though and I miss him every day.

I understand. My dad passed from a clot breaking free. It was instant. We had just all vacationed together. I didn't exactly get my goodbye the way I would have liked but I'm so happy we were all together literally 8 days before he passed. He was my best friend.

She was always great. My fave was the dog show mockumentary "Best In Show," playing Eugene Levy's wife.

Mickey Lolich, great Detroit Tigers LHP, died at 85.

MVP of the 1968 World Series, in which he won three games. Should be in the Baseball HoF.
