On the fact that Miami is once again unranked in the preseason polls....
"Manny, there's two sides to that coin. One of the things I found most encouraging about that poll was that even with all our graduations, and we had 7 guys go to the NFL, we're still getting votes. I think we were at what, 16, 17 votes despite losing all that talent. I think that shows a general recognition, if you will, that we are moving in the right direction. We haven't been in that situation before, where, quite frankly we couldn't get the depth needed in terms of numbers to really look like a respectably deep team even on paper in the preseason and it was an arduous struggle every year without depth. We walked into something that was really a difficult climb and now we are finally beyond that. So I view this poll as a positive and ultimately the proof is in the pudding. We got a lot of veteran guys here now, were expecting to be mentally sharp with fewer MEs than most"
