Richt is getting a lot of love right now. But I also somewhat remember feeling the same about Golden when we hired him. So I looked up people's reactions when we hired Golden. Found this as the first link.

I was more excited with Golden because there was no chance for Butch. This time I thought we had Butch and Mark just got canned for losing. Mark is 1000000 times better coach than Al, but not the right one with Butch standing there. I will get excited if he finds a way to get Butch as DC. Then I am okay.

From my friends list on Facebook, most of them are happy as fugg that we got Richt.

When I asked them about Butch, they all said they were nervous when they heard that he interviewed and was a possibility.
