Golden's Job Security

Lol. You guys are tough. Its a legit question. My answer is this...If Golden somehow pulls 10 wins out of his a$$ next year, some of yall mide as well go follow another team because he aint goin nowhere. Take that to the bank. You can waste your money flying banners if you want. A FOUR GAME turnaround? LOL. And you think this administration going to let him go because 1,000 of us on this board decide not to renew our season tickets? Get real. Lets not turn into baffoons here. I am ****ed but I am realistic.

That said, 10 wins aint gonna happen. I would LOVE to see Kaaya lead this team to a 10-2 regular season and a shot at an "at large" bowl. (Notice I said Kaaya, ***** Golden) But that is wishful thinking. Best we can hope for is 8 wins. And lets hope that will be enough to get Golden out of here.

Golden is doing a decent job of stacking talent he just can't develop it. unless he learns this year, we won't win and he'll be gone.

Agree that he is stacking chips. However I disagree on the statement that he can't develop talent but yet he will have 6 players gone in the draft by the 3rd round.

Only on message boards do coaches get all the credit for so called developing a player. Player development is mostly on the player with a lil help from coaches, other players etc.

probably same when ppl say that Qb won the game. The qb played a part in winning the game, but other players helped. The coaches are part of a player's development.

But dont act like you never used the word "development" when referring to certain coach and his players

I say the samething about every coach when it comes to player development.

You've also said that Shavar and his family like Miami but don't like Golden. So we will be in it and finish second to FSU because they don't buy what Golden is selling. We may need Shavar in this class to get us into that top 5 area

Shavar > Golden

i have never said that the family likes miami nor have i ever said we like or dislike Golden, all I've said is that he will be committing to a school not a coach

Woah woah I have definitely read that Shavar likes Miami but his family isn't sold on Golden. I've read that in other threads.

not from me gator hater says that but that is fake insider info

I'll take your word for it because I can't go looking for it now, but I'm almost positive I've seen it

What do u mean you'll take his word for it? He gave you a link right to it. Lol.

I've got a question for the OP. How serious does ur nephew take what he reads on this board? Does it really affect his decision making process or does he take it with a grain of salt, seeing it for what it is: passionate and angry fans venting?

As much as it pains me to say it, if AG wins 10 or more, he's a mortal lock to stay on. ****, I think if he wins 8 or 9, it would take an act of God, or a new school president with giant stones and a clear agenda for success, to pry him out. Be that as it may, I still hope we have a great 2015 season.... I'm just not counting on it.

If the team won 10 games, why would anyone WANT the coaching staff fired? That would be stupid. And why is it so hard to believe that we could do it?

We have the best QB in the conference returning, with a year under his belt. We have as many as five seniors on defense who are expected to be drafted (Bush, Howard, Kirby, McCord, Crawford), and we have several sophomores and juniors who are returning who are better than any of those guys.

We're looking at the talent of a top 10 defense, and a top tier QB, along with some pretty decent talent on offense returning. I'm not saying it WILL play out that way, but we have the pieces.

Al isn't winning more than 5. We are losing 5 players on offense to the nfl. At least 3 will go in first 2 rounds.

Defense is going to be worse too when you lose DP, Gunter, and Chick. Probably not as much drop off but

BuffoonCookman. W
FAU. W
Nebraska. L
At Duke. L
At UNC. L
GT. L
Clemson. L
At Cincy. Toss up
VPI. Toss up
At FSU. L
UVA. Toss up
At Pitt. L

We have two sure wins on our schedule
I wish we played FSU earlier...cuz that would end this faster....

Whew! Yet another dumb SLURPER.

So, this year we had all the guys you mentioned above, plus the seniors that just left, and we still were 6-7. Also notice that the tailspin was at the end of the season. That's when our QB had some experience. Too bad that next year we'll have the same incompetent staff that managed all that talent, to that 6-7 record.

So, based on the corching staff's 4-year history, there is no basis to prognosticate improvement. You are simply slurping.

That brings us to the final question. What kind of dope are you, smoking?
(The placement of the comma, in the previous sentence, was not an accident.)

Every team loses players every year. Every team. That's the nature of college football. By your logic, every team would get worse every year because they lose their seniors.

Now who's being dumb?

The HOPE is that the players you bring back would improve and get better. In fact, that is what happens most of the time. And why shouldn't that happen at Miami?? Our quarterback was a true freshman. Why is it so far outside the realm of possibilities that the true freshman might make some strides and improve this offseason??

Same is true with guys like Chad Thomas and the list goes on.

You're entitled to your dumb opinions. Here are the FACTS. The outgoing senior class consists mostly of the 2011 class, you know the one where Golden had like two weeks to pull it together. That class was ranked 36th and had only TWO 4/5 star players in it.

That's the class we're replacing. Since then, our recruiting has been much better. SO.... just looking at FACTS and not dumb speculation like you're doing.... we SHOULD be a better team next year.

If if if if...fact is they didn't win ten they won 6 and lost 7. speaking of talent miami had more talent than most every team it played this year yet they lost more than they won. You mentioning miami returning good players is not a valid reason as Miami has had good players under the staff before and underachieved. They've never done anything to make you think differently.

If they have please give me some examples from games or performances be teams worth a dam?

The problem is this ****show coaching staff will squeak by 10 worthless wins against bad teams while we look like garbage in every single one of them. Then guys like you will be all over them about how great they are. The problem is that's a fake 10 wins and as soon as we face real competition, we will get exposed. It's the same issue we had last year when we won 9. At no point in the season did I ever feel good about our team, especially when we were 7-0, because we played a bunch of cupcakes and teams that couldn't pass. As soon as we started playing balanced teams we got wrecked and we **** the bed.

You then follow up with teams lose players every year and we should hope the players returning will be better. DUDE!!!! This was the best team we've had in likely 10 years now. We have more players likely to get drafted than almost every other school. We might even have the most. Then we will likely have a few UFA that make an impact like Hurns. Duke is the best RB we've had since Mcgahee. Denzel is the best LB we've had in a longtime. We have talent on the OL. etc. With all of that, we could only win 6 games against a cupcake schedule. If Al can't win at least 9 with the team we had this year, then he's proven failure at HC.

Has the DC learned how to stop a crossing pattern yet? The 1st Half vs. FSU, was the only time we've seen any semblance of a real defense from Golden/D'No. I think they will go down swinging with the same philosophy and we will see the same results in the W/L column.

How's the weather this time of year on Fantasy Island?

Alfraud is horrible and there is no hope while he is the HC. he should have been fired after the UL bowl game

ACC champion and playoff appearance with a legitimate chance to win it all. Top 5 class, he gets more time....
But for some reason 6-7 got him extra time, and after the last few years of recruiting implosion.
I don't and may never understand how 6-7 and no changes at all is acceptable for UM football

This is the new Miami - Donna

we'll prob be around 6-6 to 8-4 before a bowl loss

6-7 will get him fired for sure

8-5 and I think the admin is stupid enough to keep him on again

It ALL depends on the next President. Anything short of a 1-2 loss season or a dumpster fire next season is irrelevant concerning Goldens fate

I think some people are forgetting just how easy our schedule was this year. We should have lost no more than 3 games. I can't even imagine Golden winning 8 games next year unless we get incredibly lucky.
