I disagree.. win or lose I will be there next week for UMs home opener. I believe there are times in a person life where a person faces a crossroad...when they question their own beliefs or thoughts. I would equate the moment to what Coach G-D are facing now. I do believe that both coaches have more cajones than what I have seen on some of UM players. I do believe that we could use both in their day on the field playing. The way some players are jumping ship...I would say...the talent is definitely on the upswing. We are going to find out a lot about the team's talent and their ablility to execute a game plan.

A win means something, but a loss means nothing. That's convenient. Heads you win, tails I lose. You didn't choose to wait to begin judging if Golden and Co. are competent until now. You just chose to use "the cloud" as an excuse to ignore all the evidence prior to today that they aren't. 99.9% of the people who "are going to judge him, starting tonight!" will also be the same people who apologize and make excuses for him at every turn from here on out. A strange coincidence, that.

You aren't taking some sort of principled intellectual stand, you were just too afraid to defend him when things were going badly. And now you think brighter days are ahead so you're less afraid to stick out your chest and claim to have been on board this whole time.

no fan support, average facilities..
This program would have been on life support heading into 2014 had Golden left back in 2011. Anyone that think differently is a blatant idiot.

This is so true ... Golden has completely saved us from the worst 2 coaches in the history of the program and hindering death penalty... Now my judgement begins on the field .. Obviously golden is aces in recruting now he has to complete the on field judgement begins now

Saved us how? He's worse than Coker to this point and 1 win better than Shannon. And you are a fool if this is the first game to you. He's had three years to show his coaching merits with so-so talent and he's been barely adequate. The NCAA didn't cause him to make sub-standard coaching moves, you dolt. And shut up with your hyperbole statements.

And just so you know, he's already being judged. This is just a continuance of it and it's interesting that you're being a spineless jellyfish and backtracking from your earlier statements of, "We're going to dominate everyone this year because the cloud is gone and Al Golden is breathing," and hedging your bets because you think we might lose and that would bust a hole in your stupid level of praising of the coaching staff.

We won exactly 2 games with our top players out and I would consider Coley an elite player who did participate so your idiotic retort is pointless. You wouldn't recognize a football if it was jammed up your nose. You're the one who knows nothing about the sport if you think Golden has done a great coaching job with this talent. It's been barely adequate.

Also, I don't see you offering up any football X's and O's while you struggle to type English. Take a seat and maybe you'll learn some football from someone rather than kissing your Al Golden poster and blaming everything on Randy and the Cloud so you can deflect warranted blame from the coaching staff. I'm impressed that you managed to spell the word, "football," correctly. I've got more of a clue than you do and you could learn a thing or two unless you prefer to be an ignorant dope and focus on ping pong.

If I wake up tomorrow to find they've fled the country, I'll be happy. ****ing on the memory of a once great program with their **** coaching.

I gave the more chances than many, and too many to be honest. They're clearly not capable of producing a winning team. They don't know how. GTFO.
 
Not only a failure, but a massive failure. I have no doubt these kids will quit because they'll realize that they've been fed a load of horse**** by a group of ******* idiots for the last four years. This season is over and the blowouts will start coming in droves. Golden is done.
 
LOL at everyone that said no way he would be on the hot seat. That seat getting hot, and his players are quitting on him. This season is over. Never doubt what a loss will do for a coaches tenure. Especially how badly we looked.
 
For the sake of the kids on this team don't go to the game next week, this staff is by far the most cluster **** set of individuals I have ever seen. They deserve better (players), most have come because they want to be part of the tradition and be great not because of the coaching staff. This staff is on track to dismantling what's left and set us back another 5 years. We need them out ASAP, nothing personal! I'm sure Al is a great person but not the guy for this job, it's a business and the university needs to act as if.

I don't feel much of anything-- mostly because I saw this coming-- hoped I was wrong-- but I wasn't. Neither were many others on this board.

I do feel somewhat vindicated for the BS I had to take from slurpers who used such tortured logic to justify their hopes rather than dealing with reality--and who granted so many free passes to this loser coaching staff.

But in the end, an empty victory.
