Golden's and Doritos careers on the line tomorrow night

Rex you're making too much sense. Stop it.

He is not making any sort of sense. He is speaking on pure hypotheticals that he cannot prove, and we cannot disprove. He may as well be rolling his face across the keyboard and hitting post quick reply.

I don't think the point is that a loss means immediate firings. That's obviously not the case at all.

But if Dorito's defense gets cut up by Petrino, then that will be a pretty big indictment of Dorito, Golden's faith in him, and the overall direction this program is going in. I think that's indisputable. This is year 4. There aren't further excuses for getting gashed on D. There is real talent on D. No more excuses.

And honestly, if the O doesn't look good, that's going to be on Coley. We have very good talent at WR and RB, solid TEs, experienced OL.... Hopefully Kaaya plays well. Coley/AG picked him. I expect we'll produce on O.

Bottom line on Coach D the time to judge begins tomorrow he had zero talent to work with and the talent he had was young

Gone
Porter
Robinson
Green
Gilbert
Renfrow
Gaines
Cornelius
Highsmith
Rodgers

Not one pro player listed and most of those guys were garbage coming out of high school

Now
Chickillo healthy
Huertelou
Wyche once he gets in shape
Jenkins
Moten
Chad
Harris
Jackson
McCord and AQM year older 15 pounds

Grace ready
Kirby ready
Owens
Young

Bush healthy
Carter ready
Crawford not RB
Burns ready
Elder ready

Massive increase in talent coach d has to move this defense into top 40 this year

Complain complain complain....mope mope mope. Same ole stuff different day. Some of you are worse than women.

Right? Can you believe some of these LOSERS don't want Miami to be a laughingstock anymore? Some of these MOPES think Miami should be in the top 100 defensively like EVERY year, LOL OKAY and yeah I might get to bang Milan Kunis. GET REAL YOU GUYS. You act like Miami should be good just because they're in a joke division in a joke conference, with the most talent rich HS football territory on Earth in their backyard. Pretty obvious they don't know ANYTHING about how college football works. It's just b*tch b*tch b*tch from them. SMH.

Winning tomorrow will shut up Al's critics at least until the Nebraska game.

We should all be critics and demand the best. If our D gets gashed the same way it did last year and gives up 500+ yds are you going to be quiet? NO more excuses chief. Its time to win some ******* games.

Jesus, the OP posed a legitimate scenario and some on here are so deeply in love with golden they can't even have a rational discussion.

If you don't believe losing to the same exact team that embarassed you just a few months ago will not cause players to lose faith in the coaches then you are highly mistaken. This is a huge game in the sense that a loss would set the tone for the rest of the season.

To ignore the fact that golden was left with not much when it came to upperclassmen, players out of shape and then the Ncaa/Shapiro crap is a joke. So yes Rex nailed it. Support our head coach or GTFOH!

Many of things stated here are true with the exception that Al will get fired if we lose tomorrow night. Hindsight considered, Al came into a program with minimal financial and facility support, had little talent, had to rid the program of bad character, and had to settle for guys that were not D-1 caliber (especially at DL) because of the NCAA mess. In retrospect I whole heartedly believe that without the NCAA making an illegal attempt to permanently eliminate the football program at Miami, then we'll be at least 2 years ahead of where we are now.

That said, I'll take back many of my negative comments about Al and D'Nofrio. In fact we all should reserve comment until after the first half at least.

....and if Golden and the staff blew town after the Yahoo story dropped BEFORE the start of his first year, we would of been 5 years behind where we are now....that's if the program would of survived in tact. Glad he stayed, if for nothing else, to get us to where we are now.....which is better than where we were.

You see that in your magic 8 ball? You guys that make these definitive statements with no basis in reality crack me up.

Go through the scenario and add up the disaster that would of been Miami football if he left just before the first game and get back to us.

Yeah, these clowns think any coach worth his weight would have been beating down Shalala's door for a job to coach a program in limbo with
no fan support, average facilities..
This program would have been on life support heading into 2014 had Golden left back in 2011. Anyone that think differently is a blatant idiot.

For better or for worse al has hitched himself to dorito. The whole country will be watching tomorrow. Can they someone figure out a way to get Louisville off the field? My heart says yes, my mind says no. They better figure it out if they want to coach d1 ball past this year. we will know where miami stands 36 hours from now.

Shalala is this you? If not STFU. You have no say in Golden's career path.

Where would we be right now if Golden quit before game 1?

0-3 vs. FSU?
Worst and second worst defenses in UM history?
0 wins against a team finishing the season in top 25?
loss to Duke?
0 coastal division titles?
Blown out in second tier bowl game?

Thank god Golden didn't quit, or things could have been really bad.

Nailed it. But wait, his 8 ball told him we would be worse... smh

The same negative bull**** from "fans". In any case, there is near a zero chance anything happens to Golden. Support our team, if you are not happy, go root for the Gators. You wont be missed.

What a pedantic response. To think there is nothing to be critical of over the last 3 years when we set the low bar in defense, then its fans like you that need to find another team. Maybe FIU/FAMU would be more to your liking. You certainly are clueless on what made Miami great to begin with.

Support our head coach or GTFOH!

Were you trumpeting this soft skulled nonsense at the end of the Shannon tenure too? How about Coker? Were you supporting him 100% right up until he caught a pink slip? "Well no, you see, okay what had happened was, here's the thing about that..."

Losing on the road as a 3.5 point dog... People act like were are 30 point favorites... This is al and staff first game to me i start judging tonite impossible to judge a team that had the death penalty hanging over their head... We are rolling right now so a win would be really good considering how dominant golden has been recruting lately... But a loss wouldnt mean he would be fired not even close....
