Golden said he kneeled w/ 33 sec left because he had no time

man some of you all have no football IQ at all!!! Nebraska had ALL the momentum at that point. ask Jamal Charles and the Chiefs what happened when they ran a play at the end of the game on Thursday. they definitely made the right call by taking a knee and regrouping

Can you please expound on your obviously vast and unreachable "football IQ"?

You dont try to force something with time running out and no time outs when all the momentum for the entire 4th quarter is on the other teams favor. Its actually a real simple concept but some of our finer arm chair coaches seem to struggle grasping it

loser mentality. if you are acknowledging that Nebraska had the momentum going into overtime, then why the **** wouldnt you try to win it in regulation when you have the ball instead of going to overtime where "Nebraska has all the momentum"?

So basically "when the going get's tough......don't try"?

With a mentality like that, I can see why you love these corches.

no more like don't let your ego get in the way of making a smart football decision and costing your football team a win. this isn't a NCAA video game where i'm sure most posters on here go for it all the time on 4th down and go 13-0 every year.

Why you focused on the IQ statement ? He actually made a good point, the Chiefs should have kneeled the ball.

because they HAD ALL THE MOMENTUM IN THE 4TH QUARTER! i thought i made that clear. let me slow it down a little more, when you pause for a few minutes to regroup and get all the guys settled down it actually helps. guess what happened next? armstrong threw a pic and we won the game

ok so in your world the momentum automatically stops b/c the 4th quarter was over. gotcha. gtfoh stop pulling sht out your ***. u act like it was a halftime break or something...u just keep changing **** to fit your narrative. point blank if they had momentum at the end of the 4th then they had it going into overtime. u dont decide when the momentum suddenly stops b/c it fits in with you defending foldens lack of heart.

obviously, they had the momentum in overtime also b/c they were a ****ed up throw away from beating our ***. we backed our way into that win. the lack of balls at the university of miami is disturbing to say the least.

Truth, you just got owned, and every one can read and see it, except you. You check-mate yourself with flawed excuse for Corch! Bottom line is simple, if according to you, NU had all the momentum [and making all the plays] then you won't want to continue the game going into overtime. You try to end game and **** away from OT.

Just coz we got lucky that Armstrong try to win it all by himself doesn't make Golden not incompetent nor does Elder's INT make him not incompetent.

My only concern at that point was momentum. We had NONE, and they had absolutely all of it. Really glad it worked out well. I certainly don't blame him for doing what he did, but would have understood if he took a shot.

I was ****ed about him having Kayaa take a knee at the time, but realistically, our offense was sucking wind and had completely fizzled out. ****... even in OT, the offense couldn't do anything and we only had to go 12 yards.

think about it..... we started at the 12, couldn't get a first down..... got a penalty .... and ended up back at the 11..... kicking from the 18 to win the game. Our offense was in the *******!

In hindsight, taking the knee was the right call. It was not the aggressive call. It wasn't the old school Cane way of doing things.... but we only resemble old Miami teams because there is still a U on the helmet.

This is a team, under Golden, that has to manufacture wins.

I'll take the W, but it still feels like an L.

OUTS There are no words......................

Golden was scared. Tommy Armstrong let us down. Nebraska would have scored a TD in OT. TA got greedy on 1st down. no need for that.

Further, we struggled from the freeking 12 yard line. Again, Golden was scared. Golden should have kicked the field goal on 1st down and sprinted to the locker room and cried uncontrollably in a corner!

Peep Mike Leach after a win, in which the team did not perform to his standards. Not advocating that we hire him, but you have to respect his passion and his hate for Mediocrity.

Mike Leach would have had Tracy Howard locked in a closet with concussion sypmtoms.

Yes you *** hair, why the **** do you think coaches in the NBA call timeouts when the opponent goes on a big run? Yes you got it, to stop momentum and regroup. Now that works in ALL SPORTS. A pitching coach will go to the mound to settle his pitcher down if hes wild. Momentum, look it up, its a real thing. I guess if kaaya throws a pic at the end of the game, it would have been Als fault also lol. I don't have enough food to keep feeding trolls.

Interesting comment.

boy, u dumber than i thought. so when things aren't going your way, your strategy is to make the game longer? instead of trying to end it so you dont have to keep playing with "momentum against you".

lmao at comparing it to calling a timeout. just to **** on your nba analogy (which makes no sense by the way) when an nba team is playing against a team who has the "momentum", and they are down 2 with 10 seconds left, what do they usually do at the end of the game? they go for the fkin 3 to win and end the game right there, cuz if they go into overtime the team with the "momentum" is most likely gonna continue pounding their ***.

now gtfoh with your slow bus ***.

"if kaaya woulda thrown a pick" thats what a loser (in this case Al) always thinks, worst case scenario. not to mention that kaaya was killing it all game and we were burning them in the passing game. but your no balls having *** rather play it safe. thats why were in the position were in, because always playing it safe usually leads to losing. foh we got lucky in OT we didnt even win, we waited for them to give us the game, which usually doesnt work out that way.

If you want to judge a decision he made that's fine. If it worked he's right, if it didn't then he's wrong. Looks like this time he made the right decision to regroup. Neb was on a roll, we all know how that goes. This time he made the right decision.

I really just couldn't understand why they didn't just kick the field goal on first down at the 12? I wouldn't have taken a chance of a fumble but that's just me.

At home you play for overtime, so that isn't an issue for me. The fact that we were going to overtime...that was the issue!

3 of your best players out didn't help, but I agree. Should have ran the ball almost every time with a big lead and time ticking away.

There's so much to bash Al about, kneeling is way down the list. Especially the epic collapse leading up to the kneel.
