Golden said he kneeled w/ 33 sec left because he had no time

OUTS There are no words......................

Golden was scared. Tommy Armstrong let us down. Nebraska would have scored a TD in OT. TA got greedy on 1st down. no need for that.

Further, we struggled from the freeking 12 yard line. Again, Golden was scared. Golden should have kicked the field goal on 1st down and sprinted to the locker room and cried uncontrollably in a corner!

Peep Mike Leach after a win, in which the team did not perform to his standards. Not advocating that we hire him, but you have to respect his passion and his hate for Mediocrity.

Jacksonville just proved what you can do in 22 seconds, in the NFL when the clock DOES NOT STOP after a first down. Golden's a scared corch.

In the Ole Miss-Bama game, Freeze sat on the ball much like Golden did with over a minute left on the clock!!

are you slow? ole miss was actually winning the game. stupid comparison smh

anyway who gives a fk? why are we always looking to other teams to justify folden's incompetency. smh

Wasn't making any comparison. I was just remarking that I was surprised at that move as well.

If you say so...sounds like you were comparing them to me

I mean, we were abusing their corners the entire first half and we're not going to take a shot with 33 sec left?

MMMMMK.

After watching what the Chiefs did against the Broncos last Thursday night I personally can see a good argument to just take the knee.
And it worked out in the end which is all that matters.

Come on bro he made the right call and y'all still complain

He made the right call?

The whole 4th quarter was a corching DEBACLE!!!!!!!

yipeee! Gorlden made the right call after time had run out and there were no more options............

UM is a schit show right now, from top to bottom.

Yall keep blaming golden but did golden miss all those sacks in the 4th quarter ? Nope .... We all hate golden but stop blaming him for everything. This is just like that the deon bush thread last week he recovered the ball and couldn't advance and yall still blame golden.

I thought he should've taken a shot. But he said we had no time outs, was worried about a sack/fumble etc, and was at home/felt confident with his guys. Quite a few coaches would've made that choice, I think.

Most would've actually.

I think most would've run a draw play or a little drag route over the middle with a fast receiver. If that didn't go for a big gain, then you just sit on it.

Quality post. Great subject matter. Gorlden celebrates while Leach is IRATE!

JJ, Butch, Howard would have all been ****ed the fvk off after Saturday's game. But Gorlden's team is acting like they won the NC.

******* UM is nothing like it used to be. Leach makes Gorlden look like the real psussy that he is.

"Last time I checked it said you're either coaching or letting the schit happen!"

I think context is key here.
Nebraska had all the momentum in the world after scoring all the points they did.
I think Most coaches in that situation would say forget it, just take a knee and let's regroup. Stop the momentum and take the time plan for what to do in OT.

man some of you all have no football IQ at all!!! Nebraska had ALL the momentum at that point. ask Jamal Charles and the Chiefs what happened when they ran a play at the end of the game on Thursday. they definitely made the right call by taking a knee and regrouping

Can you please expound on your obviously vast and unreachable "football IQ"?

I'm not going to bash him for the decision he made (in this case), because there's at least some logic to it. That said, I would've done it differently....try a low-risk play, see if it busts out for a big gain. If it doesn't, sit on it, and go to OT.

You dont try to force something with time running out and no time outs when all the momentum for the entire 4th quarter is in the other teams favor. Its actually a real simple concept but some of our finer arm chair coaches seem to struggle grasping it

So basically "when the going get's tough......don't try"?

With a mentality like that, I can see why you love these corches.
