Golden presser - 9/2 - Sports Buzz summary

The right side of our OL was atrocious at best. I would rather put Odogwu/KC at T and Linder at G honestly. Isidora and Gadbois played about as bad as I have ever seen 2 linemen play. The line needs to play much better for our guys to do anything. My line, although fairly young would be:
LT Flowers
LG Feliciano
C McDermott
RG Linder
RT Odogwu/McDermott

Why can't we get some mean nasty sons of ******* to play OL and rip guys heads off??? We play so soft on the OL and those should be the meanest dudes on the team!

I was waiting for the "it's my fault and it falls on me." I am disappointed how he doesn't blame himself and say they were out coached!

Another question I would like to see answered is: How in the **** is Fentress getting so much time on the field. I understand a special teams play here and there - but he was out there a ton. Even on special teams he was part of the missed tackle that led to the kick return TD.

At safety we have: Bush, Carter, Crawford
At corner we have: Howard, Gunter, Burns, Crawford

How does Fentress crack the 2-deep with this set of DB? That is poor roster management.

I say move feliciano to RG so that the experience is more spread out and the experienced guys can on-field coach the more inexperienced guys

Let me throw this out there. Rob Ryan, that's right, Rex's brother. Offer him this program and you can take
It to the bank we would have one hard *** football team, out to kick everyone's ***. You remember those types of teams don't you ?

When we took shots, they were there.

Dorsett had a long one, was open on another that was missed.
Dobard was open on the underthrown INT
Walford had a long one
Duke had a long one called back

Golden is a conservative coach which sucks. Can see it on both sides of the ball, we rarely attack.

I mean, not that I can condone what happened last night, but that line right there is horse****. The HUGE knock last season on O was that we attacked downfield too much.

Have you seen Odogwu on the camp tapes? Dude is still at least a year from even being trusted on special teams. Also, we just saw what happens when you put two first rookies right next to each other, which Gadbois and Isidora are for all intents and purposes. Any DC with a pulse sees it an exploits it. So if we are going to play 2 freshmen...and I personally think we should be playing Darling and McDermott...then we have to put on at LG and one at RG/RT.

Dude doesn't even get interviews for NFL coaching gigs because everyone knows he is perfect where he's at: Defensive Coordinator. Next.

You have to attack downfield some to stop them from putting 8-9 in the box, it would help if he could've changed the play at the LOS.

IMO, just throwing down field isn't attacking a D. My opinion of attacking a D is keeping them off balance, using all areas of field, having route trees that put players in vulnerable positions, etc. How often do we create mismatches on defenses? How often are we put in mismatches?

I guarantee you this, most teams aren't worried about our scheme on offense when they enter the game. We aren't throwing anything at them that they aren't expecting.

So I stand by my statement.

I think we look at moving Feliciano to RT and moving Gall or Darling to guard. Feliciano played a bunch of RT last year and by moving him there, you get some experience on the right side. It was surprising that after spending all of fall camp as 1A and 1B at RT that neither McDermott nor Darling played at all at RT, with all of the struggles Gadbois was having. Golden said it wasn't the right time to give those guys that experience - so it was basically okay to start Kaaya on the road, but it wasn't okay to get those guys some reps at RT...

You make good points. I'm just so sickenly disappointed with how the right side played. I'm open to that. Makes a lot of sense.

This just infuriated me.

If he's suspended, just tell us he's ****ing suspended!

Don't act like you didn't play your best OLB for no ****ing reason you scumbag, piece of ****.

Just speculation on my part:

Maybe AQM did something fairly bad. Golden wants to keep the wraps on it, by not formally suspending him he hopes it won't get out.

Only thing I can think of.

Dude told us he was going to play, has him travel and sit there taking up space on the sidelines.

Yeah. I forgot about that. Golden was asked point blank if AQM would play and Golden said "definitely" or something along those lines. Then two days later he decides not to play AQM? Golden is a lying piece of ****.

This is why:

Sounds like it could be a serious academic issue with AQM.

**** i hate Shalala

With respect to the line, I'm a little surprised they don't play feliciano at rt. he has done that and that gives you an experienced anchor on both sides as opposed to a right side of newbies. It creates a vacancy at guard, but you have stability on both sides.

Gadbois is another Gem at best, he should not be a Miami. Next thing i will bring up what kind of coaching staff would allow the kid to get destroyed the entire game and stay in. He reminded me of Loftus getting destroyed the entire game for Godby. But guess what we offered the kids too. What the **** is going on around here???
