Heavily summarized and abbreviated notes.

Biggest thing from FSU on tape - resilience & experience

The rivalry - Former team mates and friends facing off against each other. Players need to focus on what they can control and carry what we've been doing over the last month into this game. Enjoy the moment & atmosphere, then execute.

Kaaya - He's grown up a lot over the last month, protected ball well and made good decisions. Improved 3rd down conversion rate.

Biggest change over last 3 games - Playing together, less mental errors & better ball protection. Improved 3rd down results on both sides of the ball.

Flowers - He's going to go through drills today and be evaluated during the 10 o'clock hour. He wants to play, it will be the doctors decision in the end. "I wouldn't bet against Flowers."

What is different about FSU this year vs last year - They are excellent and it's hard to stay on top, getting everyone's punch. We have an opportunity to go out and handle what we can handle. They have great leadership and talent.

On passing game - No question we need more from passing game, explosive plays and going up against man coverage need to battle for all the balls. Will take a team effort.

On defense - Need to prevent explosive plays and get after the quarterback. FSU line is excellent with 148 career starts. Need to get a great rush out of 4 and bring more at times.

On motivation and excitement level - It should be fun. Block everything out. Stay humble. Don't let anything from the outside get into this building.

Off week - Rested and tried to stay healthy.

What surprised you the most about this years Miami team - Misfortune on offensive line early in season has allowed people to step up and showcase their resilience. Improvise and adapt, be unselfish and play different positions. Hopefully we get Erick back.

This is the game where the WR's need to break out. They've been quiet since Miami's been able to run so well. FSU is going to make Kaaya make plays.

Haven't done this all year, Winston will pick us apart if we continually blitz. Wish we had some legit pass rushers, we just don't

This would be a great game for Chad Thomas to get his first sack. I've noticed him rushing from inside on 3rd downs and he might be able to take advantage of FSU's young C.

I disagree. I feel like our opponents have dictated this in a sense.

- We got after Louisville
- Duke never allows sacks. They get the ball out extremely quick. We got 1 of the 4 sacks they've allowed this year
- Georgia Tech and Nebraska are self explanatory

We haven't really gotten a chance to see what our pass rushers can do. You saw Tyriq explode off the edge against UNC and Kamalu can be trouble on the interior. That's another reason why this game is so intriguing to me. We're going to get an honest assessment of our front 4 after this game. I'd venture to say that Winston has probably been sacked north of 20 times and if not that, then he's **** close. There offensive line is vulnerable and our guys need to have a big day up front, or the coordinator has to call an excellent game where he brings obscure blitzes from disguised coverages.

This would be a great game for Chad Thomas to get his first sack. I've noticed him rushing from inside on 3rd downs and he might be able to take advantage of FSU's young C.

He ran a stunt against UNC that covered 2 gaps and he was in the backfield before Williams hit his back foot.

Chad's short area quickness is astounding.

If I'm Golden I also put Duke on Kick offs this week, we are going to need some big plays and Coley just hasn't been that dude.

And the interior of FSU's line has been their weakness. If we can get them into obvious passing downs I hope to see Chick and CT on the inside utilizing those stunts.

I dont know about you guys but i would rather get beat deep once or twice then let them dink and dunk us for 40 points.

To **** with all that passivity ****. Year four...time to walk the ******* walk AG. Walk it!!!!! Bring the heat ALL GAME!!!!!

0-4 vs FSU is ******* embarrassing and unacceptable. Also I dont want to hear any of you pussified mediocre ******* accepting a "close loss". **** that ****!!!

Of course.

I'd also rather get dinked and dunked on two drives, than give up 8 bomb plays (see Michigan State on Sat. night).

There's nothing honorable about betting the house and losing it.

There's nothing honorable about going out on your shield.

There's nothing honorable about falling on your sword. This ain't freakin 47 Ronin. A loss is a loss is a loss and regardless of style, the folks around here will none too pleased with an L.

Should be a healthy mix of measured risks and managing down/distance. Execute a gameplan you deem most likely to yield a win.

Being reckless is what gives a QB like Jameis the window of opportunity he needs.
