I blame the mopes here!
quarterback evaluation and development has been atrocious...hopefully kaaya is the one to end that cycle but seriously...dewey and crow no longer play qb at the U, Al didn't bring in anyone in 2011 (granted it would've been tough to bring in a stud in the two months he had, but he could've at least brought in a decent player with plans to develop him), and olsen's future here doesn't seem to bright. LB has also been a disaster in this aspect...we could've really used skai moore and james burgess (i'll give Al a pass on Keith Brown, isn't his fault that brown wanted to play with his brother and for a black coach)
Plenty of 3 star south Florida kids that would have loved a Miami offer, playing for UL and other programs. Those are eval misses and not sanctions related. The sanctions may have hurt us in getting some top prospects, but unheralded kids that would have jumped at the chance to play for miami was not impacted by the NCAA thing. That's just another excuse to absolve golden of his incompetence. Please stop CaneAlmighty... "Sanctions Talks"? Really... No excuse for the large number of players leaving the program... He's not doing a good job evaluating these prospects... I'm not even giving him a pass for 2011... Majority of those guys like Ricardo Williams, Finnie and Grooms were already evaluated by the previous squad and was deemed not good enough to be at Miami, yet he decided to bring them on... You can't absolve the coaches for their decisions... They are messing up...

It's Goldens job to identify those players. It's hindsight for us not for him. When Charlie strong was pillaging Florida for recruits, we thought nothing of it cause he was taking left overs that Miami didn't want aside from bridgewater and a couple others. Looking back you can see that strong has solid evaluation skills and picked up players that golden should have identified as well especially if he was struggling with top recruits because of the cloud. It's not hindsight, it's a skill that golden doesn't have.Plenty of 3 star south Florida kids that would have loved a Miami offer, playing for UL and other programs. hindsight is 20/20
