gonna be tough right out of the gate IMO but I bet we hang right there with them either way.

Plus you gotta figure as an 80s Cane and devout Protestant, he's got extra incentive =P
 
the way i see it we have 2 hard games next year - ND and FSU. everyone else should be beat. unc loses it's qb and va tech was a 6-6 program with less talent. fuente wont change that program in 1 year.

10-2 or 11-1. 9-3 at the worst.

This is how I feel. Possible to beat both ND and FSU?

We don't play ND until October 29 (8th or 9th game of the season), so our players should have transitioned to Richt's systems by then. I think we can beat both FSU and ND.

Fuente won't change program in yr 1 but richt will? I do expect to be in acccg next year but don't forget our o line is terrible and we've created a culture of mediocrity.

Not to mention we will be putting in new playbooks offensively and defensively.
 
possible but unlikely IMO. I see 10-2 and an ACCCG appearance next year.

We have more talent and could end up with 9 wins this season with one of the all time worse HCs. I think the rebuild at VTech is a lot more challenging.

Beat FSU that's all that I care about. ND is a loss especially up there in the cold at night (which it will probably be).
 
I will give you the answer once I know who we lose to the draft. On paper they are a 10 pt favorite right now. I expect that we will have real improvement on our OL.
 
As of RIGHT now this is a 10 win football team and with additions, they will be better next year.

Notre Dame game is also in late October so we'll have time to get rid of any kinks and jitters throughout the first month.

If we can get AQM back AND hire a big time DC, whoever wants it can get it in my opinion. Ready to rock and roll with whoever.

I don't think so. ND will have a very good offense (Kizer, Fuller, Prosise, Folston and they have recruited very well on the offensive line) and although their defense is vulnerable against the pass, it has been very stout against the run. I don't think next year's Miami team will be equipped to beat them in South Bend, where they've become very tough under Brian Kelly.

I can see us keeping it close and it coming down to the fourth quarter, but right now ND is in a better place program-wise.

10-2 is the worst we should allow as fans. It's hard to find 3 teams on the schedule that can beat us. 11-1 is realistic for a winner.

How is our oline magically improving?
 
This year ND's beat these teams by:

UVA - 7
GT - 8
Temple - 4
Pitt - 12
BC - 3

No reason to think we can't beat ND next year.
