He recent quotes and comments along with D'Onfrio are only building a stronger case against him to retain his place as Head Coach. The media is now feeding off of it as they know they have Golden in the corner and have started pressing with harder questions. They have started tweeting and writing about all of the stats that we post on CIS. The staff continues to defend their scheme, which clearly to everyone including donors and boosters is not working. Coaches claiming its the players not executing and not the playcalling or scheme how now ****ed the players off as well. It's just a matter of time until they quit playing hard for them.

There isn't a better team for Golden to face during these tough times than Duke. Reason being as they have an inferior image of the past and Cutcliffe is a stellar actual coach. Game is at home on national TV with lots of eyes watching. Will be an interesting watch with a significant amount riding on the line.

Its a good time to play Duke because we should know exactly what they are going to do. Pop in the tape from last year, watch Nebraska last week. Duke will be giving those exact same looks this year on offense.

I can almost guarantee you that we will do nothing different on D to stop it. It will almost be funny if it wasn't so ******* infuriating.

The media is finally looking through their BS quotes. Should be an interesting finish to the year. I personally can't see how Golden survives.

I guarantee golden stacks the box on dukes first drive. When they complete a pass of ten yards or more he will just revert back. He will stack the box and if it fails he will say, see we stacked the box and it failed.

i could be wrong, but i don't remember bill o'brien contributing all of their on the field production to the NCAA and sanctions. that was the biggest read flag was that Golden always seemed to be searching for an excuse to justify the team's lack of production instead of really owning it like a man.

I'll be shocked. I don't think he has done that vs a spread team since he has been here.

I see the same 3-4 with Armbrister or McCord or both lined up outside over the slot receiver in the same lazy zone we always play.

Or...D'nof brings many of his exotics to the forefront. It's irrelevant in many ways, Duke will get their 500. Is there any doubt?

Not happening. I said the same thing last year after the Duke catastrophe and we ran the same **** against UVA and Pitt who both ran for 250 on us.

They won't change anything, just hope for "execution"

The most drastic thing they have done on defense in their tenure is move Luther robinson to d end on running downs

Nothing will change. Golden said, "we just need to execute better." In other words, the players are going to be put in the same places, asked to do the same things, and somehow, we'll get different results.

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got. We gotta change it up.

I disagree. Golden will not play games to battle his critics. I think he honestly believes in what the defense is doing. He will do what he thinks will stop them (he's wrong).

We all think he is wrong, wrong, wrong. But, he will not do something just to justify his belief.

I was commenting this with a buddy of mine, I think they'll get hit for a big pass, these guys are reactive, not proactive, and theyre always on the wrong side of the deal

Whatever Albortion does, rest assured that David Kuntsniff will be one step ahead of him. Trust that. UM should win this game and is a heavy favorite to do so, but it won't be because Albortion outcoaches Kuntsniff.

I am guessing that Kaaya is going to go off and bail Golden out against Duke. The narrative on the season is probably going to be Kaaya playing well at home against the likes of Duke, Cincy, UNC, Pitt with exception of FSU, and struggling in turnover-plagued road outings against GT, VT, UVA.

I'm guessing we'll drop at least one of those non-FSU home games anyway because of the defense, and Duke is as good a candidate as the others, but for some reason I get the feeling this won't be it....thinking Cincy and/or UNC.

Cutcliffe will expose our defense like no other with inferior athletes. Kaaya will put up his yards and we will score but this is a game where the defense's real colors really shine again. Even if we win, it will be close and the outrage towards our defense will outweigh our excitement of victory

If I'm Cutcliffe, I show a ton of 4WR looks and trips. If their QB can be accurate enough down the seam and on the trips bubble screen, we'll be totally off balance. Maybe we get out of Quarters coverage sooner. I don't know. Maybe we show a lot of Cover 3 on Saturday.

If I know what formations I'd use against our defense, I'm pretty confident David F'in Cutcliffe is going to know what formations max out his offensive players. Problem for Cutcliffe is that I just don't think Duke is very good. Their OL is not as collectively strong as Nebraska's. That's a key because we start everything with a locked-up fight against OL. Some of the Nebraska runs that went for 5-6 will be 2-3 on Saturday. It changes down and distance.

agreed but he still finds a way as he is that good of a coach and we are that bad

Let him dig...

Easy week for offensive game plan for Cutcliffe: just photo copy last year's and change dates. Al and Mark never change anything, so no need for Duke to think much. Stopping Kaaya might be a different issue. Of course, they can count on Coley to kill 2 or 3 drives with his addiction to those stupid little screens of his, but if we stay downfield, Kaaya will light it up. Score should be something like 56 - 53. Then Al can blame offense for scoring to much and to fast-- wait he used that one 2 years ago, didn't he. Well, smart guys like will not expect us dummies to remember that, so he might pull it out again.

For the defense, any ex-military snipers types on the board. Nothing legal mind you, just pick off a few balls in mid flight to duke TEs -- no need to worry about hitting Canes, we are not allowed to cover TEs over the middle.
