Mexico beat the US; Frenk and his buddy billionaire, Carlos Slim where hanging out in Slim's secret hideaway with special guest El Chapo.

Frenk is in a jovial mood, no firings today! He will check in on the dweeb managing his "listening" campaign after the party ends...

Sorry, OP is of the Human Race...Rookie DFrec1981 didn't get the nuance.

Okay, say we have a Dean from Oxford who was Irish to be President. He would care about the Irish beating France in the Rugby World Cup. He would be hanging out with Bono and a bunch of his rich friends watching the game and having a good time, the same as my postulated Frenk party (tongue firmly in cheek).

The nuance is this: The BOT, in both cases, selected the person in part because UM sports are mostly alien to them and the BOT RETAINS CONTROL because of their (innocent) ignorance.

Get past the narratives people in power want you to get mad about and follow their tentacles.

Yeah, I picked them because Frenk is actually friends with Slim and El Chapo is well known and rich. That is a plus side to Frenk being President, Slim is very wealthy. I guess its racist to some people if somebody likes soccer, is successful and (fictionally) is hanging out with people of the same nationality and who are mega rich and smart (just as Donald Trump about how smart Mexican leaders are).
